I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Well, it's about time!" And I'd have to agree. It's about time I shared another Thrill of the Hunt since it really has been a while. AND it's about time I finally opened that Etsy shop of vintage goodies that I've been threatening to do for the past few years! That means that from now on most, if not all, of what you see in my Thrill of the Hunt posts will be available for sale in just a few easy clicks. And I'm thrilled this dream of mine has finally come to pass.
Since the shop has been a few years in the making I've had a lot of time to think about shop names. The only problem with that is I came up with almost too many names and couldn't decide on one for the longest time! I finally had to bite the bullet and pick one so I could open the darn shop. And that's how Vintage Farmhouse Love was born!
Right now the shop is in its infancy stages, and I'm adding items every day. Since Christmas is rapidly approaching (crazy, right?) I'm focusing on listing much of my vintage Christmas inventory. As time goes on I will be listing more and more varied items like the ones you've come to know and love from prior Thrill of the Hunt blog posts. I hope that you drop by the shop often to check on what I know will be an ever-changing inventory.
But enough with my yammering. Let's get started with today's Thrill of the Hunt, shall we?
First up is this adorable 7 Eleven Citgo Vintage Collectible Christmas Ornament. Isn't it darling?
For 24 years old, it's looking pretty good!
"Merry Christmouse" is its name.
It's ceramic and in great condition. I know that many gas stations and stores used to give out or sell special ornament collections during the holidays back in the day. Maybe you remember these?
My 7 Eleven Citgo 1993 Traditions Ornament is SOLD.
The next vintage Christmas ornament is a special one for sure. For cat lovers, that is.
It's the 1995 Hallmark Keepsake Collection "Special Cat" photo holder Christmas ornament.
It's made so you can slide in a picture of your favorite "special" cat. Just pull off the back and insert the photo. My 1995 Hallmark Keepsake "Special Cat" photo holder Christmas ornament is AVAILABLE.
Here's the original box.
If it doesn't sell I think I might just use it for one of my kids' elementary school photos -- it's that cute!
Last but not least is a Christmas salt and pepper shaker set.
It's the Noel by China Pearl Green Holly and Berries on White pattern Christmas salt and pepper shakers.
When I searched this pattern I found that even Replacements, Ltd. was out of stock.
According to the box they were made in 1991.
This must have been a very popular line of Christmas dinnerware. The pattern looks SO familiar, I think my mother might have even had some.
I love the simple pattern and gold rim. They're in great shape for 26 years old. My Noel by China Pearl Green Holly and Berries on White pattern Christmas salt and pepper shakers are SOLD.
Well, that's it until next time, friends! Be sure to drop by Vintage Farmhouse Love and check out all the other vintage Christmas goodies just waiting for a new home!
I hope you enjoyed reading
