The Clock is Ticking (and oh I'm so not ready for the holidays)

November 12, 2010

I've gotta say that I'm starting to feel the angst some mothers feel right before the holidays.  SO much to do. And, as they say, so little time within which to do it all!  Right now the question is: IS MY ETSY SHOP READY FOR THE BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA? N-o.  And THAT, my friends, is what's causing me the most angst.  I mean, even more than the thought of Christmas shopping.  It's time to get serious.

I've created another vintage medal necklace that I want to share with you.  It should get posted in my Etsy shop over the weekend (along with, say, another 20 pieces of jewelry ~ which we know ain't gonna happen!).  I've been playing with digital imaging effects so bear with me on this. Note: Even though I have Photoshop these were done in Photobucket because I still don't understand Photoshop!  Am I lame or what?  Well here goes.

This would be the Fresco effect.  I kind of like it.

This is Fresco, too, although I think it looks totally different.

I am so loving this one ~ can you guess?  This effect is called "Old Photo."  How original.

And this effect is "Antique Frame."  I know I have a long way to go from a photography perspective, but I had fun with these.

My EtsyMom Street Team is having a Black Friday sale, and you can also find me in the Somewhat Simple's Studio Boutique on that fateful shopping day.  Free shipping!  So make sure to stop by the shop in the morning on Friday, November 26th while you're relaxing with a cuppa joe.  (Or tea, as the case may be.)  Sounds much nicer than waiting for hours in line at Wal-Mart for that doorbuster whatever.  Shop local: Shop Etsy.

Have a great weekend!
