I picked up this lovely little wooden vintage-inspired tool box (I call it a tool box) from Michael's for 70% off. Only problem was, it was pink. And it said "Spring" on the side of it. It was screaming out to me, "Love me, take me home." So I did.
Since I was going for more of a farmhouse feel, I decided to paint it ~ wait for it~ you guessed it, white. (I know, not a lot of surprises there.)
I also even distressed it a bit but you can't really tell from the photos.
I do love being able to fill it with jelly jars, cutlery and flowers from the yard.
Well worth the $2.00 plus paint, don't you think?

I'll be linking up here
Hi Kathleen! Oh, your little tool box looks lovely! Guess what? I bought the same one on sale too! I spray painted mine a creamy color and have been wondering what to put in it. Yours is lovely!

Shelia ;)
This is so adorable. I love it in white.

How funny is that --- you and Shelia both both the same thing AND painted it too!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Michaels as of late or I may have ended up with one too.
Love a bargain!
Love what you did with it and your dreamy fuzzy love photos too, Kathy.

Love the white and distressed look. Oh yes, well worth the $2.
ReplyDeleteTWO DOLLARS!!!???? That is a great deal. You really transformed it with the white paint...it's hard not to love white paint. I really like how you have used it in your photos but I bet you will find lots of other uses (functional and/or decorative) to use it for also.
ReplyDeleteThe toolbox is adorable and I love your blog!
