Is there a room in your house that you'd like to "do-over?" If you're anything like me, your answer is a resounding yes! Most recently I've been fixated on our dining room. And lo and behold I found some fabulous inspiration from my Real Simple Weekly Tips Newsletter.
Obviously you need a good table, but it's the accessories and other furniture in the room that I get overwhelmed by. What kind of lighting? What color paint? Curtains? I give up.
Maybe you love a good toile.
Emerald Beauty
Or a nice crisp white country table.
Bright on White
I would love to go bold and mix white with a bright color, like this cool blue.
Don't you just love the chandelier?
The New Blue
Or how about a mix of modern with shabby chic whites and romantic wallpaper?
Love that tin breadbox on the sideboard!
Subtle Pattern
Right now our dining room table, china cabinet and two sideboards are hand-me-downs from my husband's family that we've used for 18 years. They've seen a ton of use over the years and I'm really grateful for them. And truth be told, they're really classic, well-made pieces that I KNOW I just should not paint! (Even though I want to! Shhhhh!) So what's a girl to do?
For now I'm leaning toward slipcovers for the dining room chairs.
Any ideas?
What's your dining room dilemma?
Have a great week!
xoxo

Hi Kathy, Did you ever check out Sure Fit? They sell covers for dining chairs, even folding chairs in all kinds of styles and fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYes ! Every room in my house. Lots of pretty inspiration there. I was thinking earlier, wish I had the money to just call someone in and just say "get it done". :-D
