I've been in love with myrtle topiaries for like, forever. You see them in all those yummy photo shoots of farmhouse kitchens. And I wanted one for myself. A real one.
But they were always too expensive. Recently I was lucky enough to find one for a reasonable price at, of all places, an antique mall.
And here she is.
Don't you just love the mossy clay pot? I placed her on a silver stand for effect.
What do you keep on your kitchen counters? I don't have a very green thumb at all but for some reason I really felt the need to go with this.
I added a vintage, chippy lamp to the mix and I was hooked.
My baby tears is still gong strong, too.
I also added in my Goodwill faux boxwood topiary as well as my Antique Farmhouse boxwood wreath hanging in the window.
I think it creates a warm feeling that you can only accomplish with the green stuff.
What do you think?
Xoxo

I LOVE topiaries as well. They look great next to your sink! Have a great weekend.

A very pretty vignette you created!
My sink area? Right now a mess. :)
Enjoy your weekend.
Very pretty, Kathleen! I love toparies and your's is beautiful! Love the vignette!
I think your counter is looking fabulous. A little green here and there really perks things up without looking cluttered.
Kathleen, At the farmers market in Holland and South Haven there are sisters that usually sell myrtle and other topiaries for not much. The same sisters sell them to a shop in Holland called Spring Sweet. I think you would love that place.
So pretty! I love topiaries too. Real or great fakes are beautiful added to the decor. I have the hardest time keeping live ones alive though.
I love it, Kathleen! I have way too many topiaries in my house, but I just love the look. I am trying my hand at a live fern in the house. I haven't had much luck here in our new place with house plants, but it's been over a month and so far it's still alive! : )
Thanks for linking up to The Creative Home & Garden hop!
So pretty...love that last shot!
Your myrtle topiary is really pretty there on your kitchen counter. I had one for years that just kept growing. They seem quite hardy.

Kathleen, I'm hooked on topiaries too. I haven't tried the myrtle, but would love to find one. I've had mixed luck with ivy topiaries, and have been buying the preserved boxwood ones lately. They are great!
I think the added greenery is perfect! Things tend to get too clutter around my kitchen sink, but I still keep trying to remedy that and would love to add some greenery -- especially herbs.
Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. Wedding sherwani
Love them too, something so classic about topiaries! It's so pretty, love it, And those precious Baby Tears!
So pretty! Nice to have such a sunny window with bright light in the kitchen, I'm sure your plants will so well there! They do add such a nice touch to the kitchen.
Thanks so much for sharing at Amaze Me Monday, hope you'll hop back over...
Blessings,
Cindy
