Okay folks, it's time for the big kitchen sign reveal! I'll admit that I might be a tad bit more excited than you are, but I really wanted to share it with you all because I absolutely love it!
In a prior post I shared a few sample ideas from my Kitchen Signs Pinterest Board, like the ones below.

And yes, the word "Eat" runs rampant throughout. So if you guessed that I would use THAT for my sign, you were right!
I painted the word EAT on the same vintage crate/box I picked up for $5.00 at the Pecatonica Antique and Flea Market a few weeks ago. I'm thrilled with how it turned out!
For this picture I added the tulips for a pop of color. It's sitting on an antique box that my husband has had since before we got married, almost 20 years ago.
And of course the tulips are in one of my authentic vintage Ball jars.
I love using Ball jars for vases.
Stay tuned for the tutorial on how to make your own stencil.

ReplyDeleteIt turned out great, Kathleen! I'll be watching for your stencil tutorial, too. I am always looking for easy ways to make signs {since I am not artistic at all in that way}.
ReplyDeleteLove it - you really did good!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening.
She IS grand! I love it. Crazy that we now have to clarify that it is a true vintage blue jar, now that you can buy them in stores. I would love to know how to make a stencil!

Very cool sign. I love that crate, spider webs and all, but now it's got the cool stencil. It can still be used in a vignette, as a tray to hold treasures of the season. My favorite kind of find, versatile. Take care my creative friend. Love, Penny
ReplyDeleteReally pretty! I just made some placemats that would go perfect with this.
