It's not often that I share recipes here. But when I do share one, you can rest assured that I think it's a great one and I want you to know about it!

The reason I made this recipe in the first place has to do with my Pinterest Board entitled "Fun Food" and my kids. As something fun to do this summer, I told each of my kids to pick their favorite recipe from that board and we would then make it together. My oldest daughter picked a recipe I pinned from Woman's Day entitled "Wickedly Good Whoopie Pies.

And let me tell you, they did not disappoint!  They really were wickedly good. SO good, in fact, that they earned both my kids' and my husband's seal of approval!

Just look at their ooey gooey goodness!
Can't you just taste them?

They made quite a pretty display on my silver dessert pedestal.
Wouldn't you agree?

The recipe ran pretty true to form, however, I will caution you about storage. It says to place them in layers, with wax paper in between the layers (for one week) or freeze (for up to one month). I did place them in layers, sans wax paper (my bad), so they stuck together a bit. But the real problem was that the ooey gooey goodness started to get a bit too ooey gooey and the tops started to slide off the bottoms a bit. The price you pay for a wickedly good whoopie pie, I suppose. Once that happened I refrigerated the remaining whoopie pies and they were enjoyed by all, served cold. And~ surprise~ they didn't last very long.

Well, that's it for today, friends!

I hope you've enjoyed reading about my
