I love vintage trophies. I love their patina. I love their shapes. I love their engravings. I don't love their price tags. So I don't actually own any vintage trophies. But I do have a vintage champagne bucket that that serves as a great substitute.
I got it at a thrift store for less than $10.00. It was even red-marked down if I remember correctly. I couldn't believe it! I mean, how did this beauty manage to stay on the shelf?
I love filling mine with hydrangeas from the yard.
Or lovely spring bouquets like this one.
I also scored a small double-handled silver cup a few years ago that I love to use in vignettes around the house. It goes great with vintage books.
And it made the cut for my recent dining room cabinet reveal.
But vintage trophies can be used for so much more.
Try using one in the kitchen to corral utensils.
.
Or filled with pumpkins and feathers for fall décor like these at Must Love Junk.
Boxwood balls look beautiful in this equestrian vignette from

Well, that's it until next time, friends!

I love this champagne bucket! I have Hydrangea envy because mine froze with our cold weather in the Spring! I had so few blooms this year! Your trophies are so pretty! I do love vintage trophies- you found a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI love vintage trophies too. I snatch them up when I can find them for a great price...which isn't real often.
ReplyDeleteYou gave us some wonderful inspirational photos.

Nice deal on the bucket, and perfect for flowers. I have not priced any in my area, but bet they are pricey.

Great post--love your champagne bucket, both with the hydrangeas and the daffs/tulips. So glad I stopped by--now a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI love your champagne bucket! I have one too, but it isn't engraved like yours. I agree that they look like a trophy too. I love your smaller one in your dining room too. I have a reproduction from Décor Steals in my foyer holding turkey feathers. That's all I have. I won't spend a lot on them either.
ReplyDeleteLove them all, but ,my favorite is the Hydrangeas. I am Hydrangea fanatic!
ReplyDeleteI wonder where all the old trophies go? I rarely see any when out thrifting, but I too love them used in vignettes. Love what you have done with your 'trophy'.
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! I have never seen these at my thrift stores!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are fantastic! Yes, they are hard to finds here. You have found a very pretty one! Thank you for joining Home Sweet Home!
