As in caramel apples.
As in salted caramel cupcakes!
The summer is rapidly dwindling and I still have some of my Pinterest Fun Foods recipes to share with you.
For those of you who missed them, the first two were real hits.

This recipe was so easy it was almost like stealing candy from a baby (pardon the pun).
Today I want to share with you some fantabulous salted caramel cupcakes
{as well as a surprise at the bottom of this post!}

You can find them here on my Fun Foods Pinterest Board.
These were actually the first of the Fun Foods to be created, so I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to post about them!
Don't they look yummy?
And no, the white rocks you see on the plate aren't really white rocks.
They're sea salt! (That's fleur de sel for you francophiles!)
I got my recipe from The Tidy Mom.
I followed it with two modifications:
ONE: It appears that Duncan Heinz no longer makes their Signature Caramel Cake Mix.
I substituted a box of Betty Crocker Super Moist French Vanilla cake mix instead.

TWO: I could not find the Nestle caramel for the frosting, so I substituted Smucker's Sundae Syrup Caramel instead.
Otherwise I thought the recipe was pretty straightforward and they were definitely worth making.

I can't believe that school has started for our oldest (high school!) and the middle kiddo starts next week.
Then I start homeschooling Chickadee number 3 after Labor Day.
I still haven't finished my French Wire Hamper project.
Why not, you ask?
Well, it might have something to do with this.
Yes, we got a puppy.
Looks like our
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
is a keeper.
What do you think?
