Okay, I know all of blogland has gone bee-wees for fall, but let's be
honest. In some parts of the country, no matter what the calendar
says, it's still going to FEEL like summer. If this sounds even vaguely familiar to you, then read on.
I've always been a tea drinker, plain and simple. Earl Grey, if you
must know. And in winter I love a mean vanilla caramel tea.
But in the summer, I love plain old sun tea. That's right. Just
throw some tea bags into a pitcher of water, set it outside in the
morning to heat up, and enjoy its deep tea flavor just a
few hours later. I love it so much that I thought I'd share my
recipe with you today!
Sun Tea Recipe
INGREDIENTS
one large Luzianne (or your favorite) FAMILY SIZE tea bag
one regular sized Earl Grey tea bag
one Lipton Bavarian Wild Berry tea bag
Optional: lemon, sugar or sugar substitute
Place all three tea bags into a 2 quart pitcher full of
water. Make sure there's a lid and/or saran wrap over the top of the
pitcher, to avoid attracting bees and other insects. Set the pitcher outside, on your patio or deck or back porch steps
in the sun. Let it steep until it's the perfect color for your taste. Then pour over ice with some sugar and a slice of lemon and enjoy.

I would have never thought about letting the sun heat the water. I should definitely try this. Temperatures here are still upper 80's and 90's

I am a die-hard Twinings Earl Grey but Stash has a double bergamot Earl Grey that would make even better sun tea!
