Easy "Baked" Honeycrisp Apples

honeycrisp apple baked apples recipe

Fresh Michigan Honeycrisp apples
Apples have become somewhat of an obsession for me this fall.
I can't seem to get enough of them.
They're beautiful, delicious and good for you.
So how can you go wrong?
My son's favorite apple variety is Honeycrisp.
They're only available for a short time each season,
and they are ridiculously expensive.
But thanks to Costco we were able to oblige him this year.

One of his favorite ways to eat Honeycrisps
(besides dipping them in caramel, that is)
is to have me or Mr. CBD "bake" them in the microwave.

It's so ridiculously easy.
Really, it is.

It's Mr. CBD's recipe and my son loves it!
If you think it sounds easy and yummy then by all means
feel free to share it on Pinterest!
I think I'd have to call it the perfect fall treat.
Next to white chocolate candy corn M&M's, that is.

You can certainly replace Honeycrisps
with your favorite variety of apple.
Mine is Gala.

What's yours?
Well, that's it until next time, friends!

  1. My apple fav is called Pacific Rose. I didn't have one last year, asked for them at Jewel and Mariano's ... The one time I missed Dominick's, who always had them! When they are available I eat one a day from November till February, crisp, fragrant and delicious. Today I'm baking for a meeting tonite, apple cake with honey crisp. The apples I bought were big as navel oranges, and just as expensive! Thanks for the great recipe! Enjoy all the beauty that Autumn holds. Love, Penny
