IKEA Gift Tags Reimagined As DIY Christmas Ornaments

Today I'm going to share with you a really inexpensive, easy peasy
DIY Christmas ornament idea. I was so excited about it that
I really wanted to share it with you in time for Christmas.

While shopping at Ikea last weekend I stumbled upon a section in the store
I had never seen before. It appeared to be all about parties. There was wrapping
paper, hanging decorations, invitations, you name it party-related.
I quickly scanned the shelves and something jumped out at me.
Gift tags! With numbers on them!

I love using numbers to decorate things. So finding
these was like hitting the jackpot! I was even more
excited to see that the price was just .99 cents for
each group of 10 numbers. That's less than10 cents
an ornament! So I had to buy two sets of each
style - the black on white, the black on natural,
and the white on black.

They also came with their own cords for hanging.

As usual, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but I did know that
I WAS going to use them for something. Then, while setting up a photo shoot
for another project, I had an epiphany. Those numbers I bought at Ikea would
look great as ornaments on my mini Christmas tree!

Like I said, pretty simple huh?
You could even put glitter on them for some extra bling.

And numbers 1 through 5 is perfect: one for each person in our family.
I'm so happy with how they look. I'll even be using some of them
on our big family tree as well. Easy peasy.

Not exactly handmade.

But definitely reimagined.
