Decorating with Pillows and Friday Finds Vintage Mod Edition

Getting a new piece of furniture can be fun. There are pros to it, but there
are definitely a few cons as well. One con being the feeling that a new piece
of furniture warrants a complete overhaul of the room's décor. Since we got

the new sectional couch in our family room, I've been trying different things with
the overall furniture arrangement in general. And today I need your help with one
particular corner of the room. Right now I have a mixture of old and new, vintage
and traditional. I've been tweaking it and I can't stop switching out the pillows!
Maybe you can help me decide?

Pillow #1 is a handmade pillow made out of a vintage grainsack. I got it at a
local antique/thrift shop's anniversary sale a few years ago for a song. (yay me!).

Pillow #2 is a burlap pillow I ordered online a few years ago.
It has a French motif, which I love.

Pillow #3 is a burlap pillow I won from The Shabby Creek Cottage's Etsy
shop a few years ago (yay me again!).

And last but not least, Pillow #4 is a French graphic pillow from Antique
Farmhouse. I bought it a few years ago and it's still one of my all-time
favorites. It's larger than the other pillows and sits on one of my Ikea faux
sheepskin rugs. I've been having fun placing these fun little "rugs" all around
the house for added visual interest.

So what do you think?

Pillow #1, Pillow #2, Pillow #3 or Pillow #4?

Be sure to vote in the comments and let me know!
As for the rest of the décor, it really is a happy mix of
old and new, vintage and modern.
Vintage mod mix of furniture and accessories

Here's the breakdown:

1. Large lidded casket basket/side table: Pottery Barn
(Christmas gift card and 20% off)

2. Small basket/tray with leather handles: Goodwill ($2.99)

3. Lamp: Target (on sale/less than $25)

4. White slipper chair: Estate Sale ($20)

5. Faux sheepskin rug: Ikea ($10)

6. Burlap pillow: Free-won in a giveaway

7. Ladder: Goodwill ($2.99)

I haven't decided what to put on the ladder yet but I'm thinking maybe some
vintage books? Or better yet an ironstone pitcher filled with flowers. I know it's
still winter but a girl can dream, can't she?

Number one is my fave due to size, color and graphics. Number three would be second choice. All four are lovely pillows though.

I like them all but I love #3 the most! The pop of white is really nice. ~Ann

I like #1 for the shape of it as much of anything. I think it is showcased by the chair. It looks soft and relaxed and welcoming...but that's just me. Love the graphics on #2! xo Diana

That corner's looking great, Kathleen. I cannot believe you got that chair for $20--it's lovely. I pick #2--right size and nice contrast :)

Hi sweet Kathleen!
For this time of year,
I like the last pillow
WITH the IKEA fur
underneath.....cozy
modern country! But
they are all really
pretty and I can see
the one with the blue
emblem on the front
being great for the
summer with blue
and white accessories
and the one with the
cute flower center
for the spring.....So
keep rotating and
having fun : )

They all look amazing and give the space a different look. I would just switch them out from time to time.

What a great pillow collection! My favorite is #2, it's a good size and I like the color contrast against the chair. I'm forever swapping my pillows!
