Speaking as someone of Irish heritage, I believe I can say that we Irish do
love a good party! And what better day to party than St. Patrick's Day?
it's hard to choose just which recipes to share. But true to form I'm
gonna go with the drinks and the sweets.
Guinness and Baileys Jello Shots
No Bake Mint Chocolate Chip Shamrock Cheesecake
Bailey's Irish Cream Puppy Chow
Irish Apple Cake with Custard Sauce
Are you sufficiently hungry yet? I am!
And those Guinness and Baileys Jello Shots
appear to be calling my name.
I can still taste that smooth pint of Guinness
on our honeymoon in Ireland 19 years ago.
As I always say
You don't have to be Irish to be Irish.
At least not on St. Patrick's Day!
Here's my daughter and her Irish dance school comrades
after a celebratory performance in downtown Chicago today.
She's the one in the middle.
She's the one in the middle.
Chicago really knows how to do St. Patrick's Day right.
Case in point: the dyeing of the Chicago River 2015.
It's a more than fifty-year-old tradition that takes place on the Saturday before
St. Patrick's Day each year. It's very fun to watch. This year I was lucky enough to
watch it happen from the vantage point of the top floor of a nearby building.
And last but not least, here's my latest Irish dance charm bracelet creation in
honor of the occasion.
Love You More Designs' Etsy shop
This bracelet sold pretty much immediately, and for that I'm thankful.
But stay tuned for more!
And a sincere thank you goes out to all of you who have been so
supportive of my jewelry-making endeavors ~ you know who you are!
Here's to a happy and safe St. Paddy's Day for all!

Thanks for the printable but thank you even more for all the sweet St. Paddy Day treats. Your daughter is, of course, beautiful in her Irish dance costume. What a fun thing for her to do. I know you love watching her.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow I will be celebrating by working with all the wonderful veterans! I'll give them a little Irish sass! xo Diana
Happy St. Patrick's Day Kathleen! Thank you for the wonderful recipes! I don't do much for St. Paddy's Day anymore. I didn't even make a corned beef this year. The hubby and I are watching are waistlines this year. When I was younger that was another story. It was party, party, party!
ReplyDeleteOh my Kathleen you sure know how to make a girl hungry! I am thinking some sweet Irish treat is a must today. Love the Chicago tradition - we from Southern Illinois so know that well. Your daughter is so pretty in her Irish costume - I love to watch the Irish dancers - so fun. Have a great St. Pat's day. Cathy
ReplyDeleteKathleen, you have so many wonderful Irish things going on over here today- thank you for the free printable! I'm visiting from our Bloggers on Blogspot FB group, and I'm your newest fan on FB! Happy St. Patrick's Day! :)
ReplyDeleteLike the girls' outfits. Bet they had a great time, and know the audience appreciated their performance. The apple cake and the chocolate mint cheesecake both look and sound good.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening.
No Bake Mint Chocolate Chip Shamrock Cheesecake! I'm in! Where is the party?
