Hello friends! Today I'm going to share with you a few of my recent vintage finds.
It's always fun for me to dish on the goods and show them off to you, my loyal readers!

First off is a set of mini test tubes that I think is just darling!
I picked them up at Goodwill for $1.99.
I love the little black rubber stoppers, don't you?
They're very cool as is, but I also like to use them as mini vases, like I've done
previously with this Urban Outfitters test tube set I got at Goodwill for $1.99.
I just think the test tubes are made to have flowers in them!
I also have some vintage jewelry to share with you, but I'll be quick about it
since there's quite a few pieces this time.
I'm not sure what these are called but I've always loved this type of earring. I especially
like the color of these. For some reason I've been crushing on this shade of blue
for a while now. Cost: $1.49.
I actually picked these up a while ago at the Pecatonica Flea Market but I forgot to
share so I'm sharing them now. Aren't they adorable? Cute little porcelain Dutch
clogs that were probably part of some kind of key chain in another life. Cost: 50 cents.
They'll make darling charms for a bracelet or two.
Now here's a unique find I picked up off a table at the Kane County Flea Market.
It's a pin, but I'm still not sure of its origins. It says "Geneve" which means Geneva
in French. I live near a town called Geneva, so I'm wondering if it has
something to do with that.
Here's a pair of vintage potato pearl screw-on earrings. These were a Goodwill find
for $1.49. I'll use them in my jewelry creations.
Another Goodwill find for $1.49. I'm such a sucker for rhinestones!
And here's a rosary that I picked up for a song at the Kane County Flea Market.
Many times they're overpriced these days, but this one was reasonable, probably
in the $3.00 range. The beads are pinkish faceted glass, and they're each individually
capped with a delicate antique brass bead cap. And of course the gold mirrored tray
that the rosary is sitting on is a Goodwill find I shared in a previous Friday Finds post.
And speaking of gold mirrors, I'd like you to take a look at the mother of all gold
mirrors I picked up at Goodwill a while back but haven't shared with you yet.
I fell in love with it right away. Truth be told I bought this probably two years ago before
we thought we were going to move. I pictured it painted (gasp) some funky color and hanging
in our new home. Since we never moved its been sitting in the basement waiting for me
to get some mirro mojo. I think that time is now.
So, to paint or not to paint?
Tell me what to do, please!
As much as I've been crushing on gold lately I really want to bring some more color into
our home, so I'm at a standstill right now on this.
You, that's all I paid for it! It weighs a ton and is a really nice piece of furniture.
Can you call mirrors furniture? I just did, so I guess you can!
Can you call mirrors furniture? I just did, so I guess you can!
I still can't get over the detailing on it.
Sigh, I really do love the gold.........Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if my
spray painting evil twin gets the better of me! Mwahhhaaahaa.
And last but not least, a Christmas (yes I said Christmas) tablecloth for 99 cents at Goodwill.
I love the retro vibe to it, and figure I could always use it for a tree skirt, or better yet,
pillows. Lord knows one can never have too many pillows! I know I said I was not
rushing the seasons (I'm not) but I could not pass this one up!
Have a great weekend!

You find the greatest items at Goodwill! I need to move your way! Love each one! Great scores! Have a great weekend!
WOW that mirror was a steal. Love your finds!
Nice finds - I especially like the bling, and at great prices.
I gave up on the GW stores around here.
Enjoy the weekend.
Great score on the finds! Love the mirror! I would be torn as to whether to paint or not too. I think it would be beautiful painted red, blue or even bright yellow but I think the gold is beautiful too. I know not helping!! lol
Have a great weekend!
OMGosh! Your Goodwill has the best prices. Ours only seems to be going higher and higher every day. That mirror is something else. Because it's in such perfect condition, I probably would not paint it, but since you only paid $5.00 for it, I think you can do WHATEVER you want with it :) Love all your pretty jewels. Wondering if you checked the potato pearls for markings. They look like Miriam Haskell; she's quite collectible. Hope your week-end is lovely, Kathleen--
