It's that time again, friends -- time for Friday finds! This week I have a few goodies to share-- from vintage cupcake tins to Bakelite flatware so let's get started!
All of today's finds are courtesy of my local Salvation Army. First up is an old cupcake tin. As a jewelry maker and a crafter I can't get enough of these. They're just perfect for storing little bits and bobs of stuff like jewelry findings. Cost: 92 cents.
This small aluminum pan (for lack of a better word) intrigued me. I have no idea what it's supposed to be used for. Any ideas? It's about three quarters the size of a dinner plate. "Made in France" is stamped on it. Cost: 52 cents.
These are silver plated Chippendale nut dishes. They're stamped "Chippendale #358" on the bottom and are a pretty good weight. I found two that sold on eBay for $12.99. Cost for four: 72 cents.
Again, I know I can use these as catch-alls for my jewelry findings.
This little trinket tray caught my eye for 52 cents. I can definitely use it on my dresser for jewelry. The white paper you can still see over the flowers is the remains of the price tag glue. Don't you hate it when they do that? There should be a law that price tags can only be placed on the bottom of items. Time for the Goo Gone.
Isn't she pretty? As I'm a big tea drinker I love pretty teacups. This one is not really for drinking out of, though. You may not be able to tell from the picture but this cup and saucer are tiny! Cost: 52 cents.
I couldn't resist this silver cup/vase/pencil cup. It looks like one of my much smaller mint julep cups which I absolutely love. Cost: 92 cents.
I wouldn't say these are vintage, but I do believe they're old. Two sets of "casual flatware" from Pier 1. The original price tags say $9.99 per set of 12 pieces. Cost: $1.86 per set. I'm becoming a bit obsessed with celluloid silverware. You might remember my vintage silverware find from a few weeks ago.
I know they're not the real deal but I'm pretty impressed with how they look. I'm happy just to set them out on display as decor. How do you think they look in my new silver up? I'm pretty much loving it. Well, I guess that wraps it up for the week!
Well, that's it until next time, friends!

Kathleen, those are some great finds. I am always reading about people finding great deals at Salvation Army and whenever I go there is either total junk or high prices. I wish I could find one like the ones people post about! Great stuff!
I love the Chippendale nut dishes and the from Pier One. Great finds all around. sb
You really did get some great bargains.
When out and about yesterday saw many sale signs, but I did not stop at any.
Some really great finds, Kathleen--love your nut dishes and the celluloid-style flatware. I would definitely have snapped those up. Hope you're having a great week-end!
Great finds! I wish I could find one. I love them. Thanks for sharing them!
Great finds Kathleen! Love that gorgeous teacup and mint julep the best!
Nice finds! I think the pan marked France is an escargot holder. Love your pretty little tea cup.
Oh I love your treasures this week and those prices are awesome! I will be featuring you at Flea Market Friday in a bit!
