I know that Christmas is (WAY) over by now, but I still have some truly great thrifty Christmas finds that I absolutely have to share with you. Once you see them I think you'll understand why.
My family and I spent the New Year's holiday holed up in a friend's mountain home. It was relaxing and a nice change of pace from the ho-hum every day as usual. Don't get me wrong, we DID venture out from the house and take in some local shopping, er, color. We were in Galena, IL, a quaint super-historic town that has some killer vintage shopping opportunities. And that's where my fabulous vintage Christmas finds come in.
I was having a great time, strolling around The Mercantile, a fabulously eclectic vintage shop at 117 South Main Street, Galena, when I spied these beauties. I've always loved bottle brush trees, but pink ones? Be still my heart! Even better, they were lovingly placed inside mini porcelain teapots and tied up with pretty bows.
Are they not the most darling things you've ever seen? No? Well, just wait! To make matters even better, right next to these little pink beauties I spied some teeny tiny white bottle brush trees attached to vintage spools! To say they were calling out my name would be an understatement. For $1.25 a piece I got all four of them. And yes, I had some Christmas gift money that was burning a hole in my pocket. But I absolutely loved these adorable trees and if I left there without them I knew I'd be kicking myself for it. Do I have enough Christmas décor already? Perhaps. But that's really a question for another day, m'kay?
Could you resist these?
I also picked up a few other favorite things at The Mercantile that I'll be sharing with you in another post soon.
Moving on, I want to share four more recent vintage Christmas finds. One is a large white vintage bottle brush tree. I snatched it up at Goodwill for $2.99.
The stand it's on is remarkably pretty. I felt like I had won the lottery when I found this one!
The second find is a small, vintage porcelain Santa mini-mug. How cute is this? I just love it.
It cost me all of 35 cents.
Find number 4 is from Goodwill -- a small, porcelain reindeer that cost me......wait for it....... 99 cents. Isn't she adorable? Retro love! Side note: my kids think it's creepy looking! What say you? I think she looks pretty sassy!
Last but not least is a Salvation Army find. Lucky for me it was 50% off so it only cost me $1.61.
It's a cotton blend tablecloth, measuring around 4'x5'. It'll even make a nice, light blanket. It's really soft! I can see using it as the perfect tree skirt next year, too.
So, even though Christmas 2015 has been relegated to a mere memory, I am quite pleased with the "new" vintage Christmas finds I'll have to play with come Christmas 2016.
We've been dealing with temperatures in the single and negative digits here in the Midwest. How about you? Without a doubt, winter has finally set in. Hope we all stay comfy and warm over the weekend.
Well, that's it until next time, friends!
I hope you enjoyed reading about

I love the reindeer! She's adorable. Not creepy at all! Great finds.
Those thread spool bottle brush trees are just the cutest little creations! What a bargain price too. Don't think your reindeer is the least bit creepy; a real cutie.
Fun, post-Christmas, Christmas finds, Kathleen :) Love the bottle brush trees to death. Posting on fb--
My kind of shopping. There is nothing cuter than little bottle brush trees.
I guess you will let them set out till Valentines Day?
How nice to get to spend time in a mountain cabin. Lots of reading, staying warm?
Aren't you the lucky gal finding all those incredible treasures. maybe better prices after holidays? Does it matter, good for you for pouncing on them, buying them right away cause if you're like me you'd be aggravated at yourself afterwards for not buying them. What a find. Never too late to buy holiday goodies. How cute all your little trees will be in a vignette with your adorable sassy little rain deer with them next Christmas. Can we ever resist adorable bargains like those, not me. Enjoy them and look forward to seeing how you show them off next holidays. Kids just aren't used to how vintage things should look. Not like all the modern stuff now, phooey on them.
Happy weekend
The little spool trees are almost too adorable, Kathleen.

Kathleen you are making me nostalgic for Christmas all over again, and I just packed away the decorations. I love all those lovely spools, but I have to say my favorite is the reindeer.
Oh my goodness, I adore the bottle brush assortment! I have a pair of those little deer in my Etsy shop ~ fabulous finds!
Oh I don't blame you for wanting to share those adorable finds! I love bottle brush trees. They can be hard to find, so you hit the jackpot. I bet you'll be glad when you can decorate with them next Christmas.
Thanks so much for linking in for the #fleamarketfriday party! I liked your share so much it will be featured! I hope you can share something again this week! xxx...Brooke from www.creativecountrymom.com
As a pink rose lover, the little teapots with bbtrees were my favorite! Kids lose the lids and then they are fair game for us crafters! The plaid blanket will feel good thrown over a kid who has dozed off on the couch!
