Welcome to Vintage Charm Party #33
and May's Feature of the Month!

Thanks to all who linked up last week. And if you're new here, welcome! We appreciate each and every one of you who continue to come back and party with us. We're in constant awe of your creativity and talent! And once again we can’t wait to see what vintage goodies, finds and projects you all have to share with us today.

But before we get this party started, we'd like to reveal Vintage Charm's May Feature of the Month.

Drumroll, please........

Vintage Charm's May Feature of the Month is
Start At Home Décor!

Brooke from Start at Home Decor claims that she's not an artist, but I don't think I believe her. I'd say that it's just the opposite! Her artistic talent is boldly displayed in her Dandelion Hand Painted Dresser that really pops with her fun, dandelion-covered drawer fronts. I love it so much that I think I might even try it myself! Stop by and check it out, along with more of Brooke's fabulous furniture projects.

Congratulations, Brooke!

Now let's see what our hostesses have been up to this week!

Weekly Features
It’s been difficult for us to choose just one feature.
Your vintage finds, redos, vignettes and just plain creativity
have been awesome!

Michelle from The Painted Hinge shares her ingenuity and a gardening tip we can all use. She creates a DIY Clean Draining Planter Box out of an old grape box, and boy does it look great! Stop on over and check out its vintage goodness!

Carol from Blue Sky Kitchen inherited a gaudy gold cabinet from her Mother in Law.  After waiting a few months Carol decided it was time to give the cabinet a makeover.  She painted the outside of the cabinet Annie Sloan Paris Grey with an Old White wash.  She waxed the whole piece with clear wax then went over the leaf motif with Annie Sloan Dark Wax to enhance the details. Go pay Carol a visit to see her gold and gaudy cabinet makeover into a lovely cabinet that she loves and enjoys.

Cathy @My 1929 Charmer shares one of her favorite garden blooms--wisteria! Her photos of the gorgeous blooming vine are stunning. She shares tips and cautions on caring for wisteria and then delights us with her Wisteria inspired tablescape. Wow! Cathy is a girl after my own heart with her talent for pairing Goodwill linens and vintage dishes and the result is simply charming!

Don't you just love to hear about "junk" being rescued and repurposed? Donna at Adventures in Junking tells us, in Graniteware Gardening, about a hot tip her Uncle gave her. He passed on some inside info about a pile of seriously cool cast-offs destined for the dump that could be hers for the taking. And take she did...

I love transfer ware, but I've never found any in good condition in my neck of the thrifting woods. Debbie from Debbie-Dabble shared her amazing red transfer ware estate sale find...17 pieces, and at such a great price! You'll have to pop over and check it out. It's so beautiful!

Thank you for hosting, Ladies. I never cease to be amazed by the creativity that is out there. That neck tie wreath is pure genius. And I know Kathleen and I will both be salivating over the antique Irish lace.
