If you've always
wondered what's the best way to style a shelf, pop on over to Rhonda's
Ramblings of a Southern Girl and take a look at her Modern Meets Vintage Home Office
Shelfie. She expertly describes how she seamlessly mixed vintage and
modern to create unique, eclectically vintage office shelves. And I thought I
was the only one out there who liked to pair vintage items with modern ones in
my vignettes!
Victoria from Dazzle
While Frazzled found two really cool bar stools on Craigslist that had
been in an auto body shop. They were grease covered and in need of a makeover.
She recovered the stools with retro fabric bringing them back to life and then
added padded backs for a terrific finished look. Victoria provides us with a
detailed tutorial in How to Quickly Recover Barstools
and Add a Padded Back.

Just in case you've
ever doubted the difference a little paint can make, you simply must see the
dramatic transformation Eilis from My Heart Lives Here created in her French Country Guest Bedroom. You will not believe the before images, and you may be overcome
with the sudden urge to run out and buy paint to refresh your guest bedroom!
Diana’s Pick
I've admired many
handmade greenhouses over the years, but none so much as the one designed and
built by Penny and her husband at Penny's Vintage Home. Their Petite Garden Conservatory is
literally to die for and just as shabby chic as you might expect, complete with
its own chandelier. Love your project, Penny.

Doreen
from Altered Artworks had me at Paris with this fabulous beachy makeover of a rather dark and dated magazine
table. I absolutely love the style of the table, and the colour she used really
brings it back to life. It's so gorgeous! You really must pop over and see the
before. It's hard to believe it's the same table!
