Fall flower arranging doesn't have to be difficult or expensive. Just the opposite, really. Intrigued? Then sit back and relax while I share some tips and tricks for creating your own inexpensive, not-too-fussy, fall flower arrangements.
My first choice of flower will always be fresh flowers from the garden. Even in fall we can all find something to bring in from the outdoors and place in a vase or bottle for display. Tree branches with leaves, berries, or even bare branches can be beautiful if arranged properly.
Here's a peek at one of my fall berry bouquets made with bittersweet and burning bush leaves from the yard.
Just looking at this arrangement makes it feel like fall to me!
You can also take a more formal tack and order flowers for a special occasion table like Thanksgiving. Here I combined traditional with rustic for a decidedly fall-flavored tablescape. The fall-colored roses are the icing on the cake. Granted, they would normally be a splurge for me as I try to obtain my flowers, both real and faux, as inexpensively as possible.
I also used some of the same orange roses and real feathers for another fall feathers and flowers arrangement.
This year I've combined both faux flowers and faux feathers to create a stunning fall floral arrangement in the foyer.
I also thought adding some fall chalkboard art would be another way to add some fall charm to the foyer as well.
I really wanted to share this particular arrangement because you won't believe that all the flowers and feathers in it are from The Dollar Tree! I knew when I saw the feather sprays that I had to act fast. So I did! I think I was grinning from ear to ear when I found these feathers! The colors are so very fall-like and go beautifully with my DIY rustic twig vase.
Faux flower stems at the craft stores are SO expensive! Even on sale or with a coupon I find that they're overpriced. That's why I was so excited to find these!
The colors really are awesome.
And who doesn't love mini pumpkins and pumpkins with swirly stems?
Here they sit on one of my vintage grainsacks.
So to recap:
Real berries and leaves.
Real flowers and feathers.
Faux flowers and faux feathers.
And, pumpkins. Always pumpkins.
The quintessential natural fall decoration.
Do you decorate with flowers for fall?
I'd love to know!

Dollar Tree had some great fall finds this year! Love the arrangement and your chalkboard AND the new blog header ;)
Kathleen, I love your arrangement with the feathers and the pumpkins placed around the base, on top of your grain sack, with the addition of the chalkboard!! All looking so "farmhouse." Also love the gorgeous peach tinted roses in the deer head vases!!
Love the bittersweet in the pitcher, and those feathers are really fabulous in the other arrangement. Fall is my favourite time of year. Even though I don't decorate much for it I do love to bring in some natural elements from the gardens.
All of your fall floral arrangements are lovely. Thank you for sharing at Snickerdoodle. I am featuring your post tomorrow on Snickerdoodle.
