"Not all of us can do great things.
But we can do small things with great love.”
-Mother Teresa
Do small things with great love. That's actually a quote from Mother Teresa, and I've always loved it. So what better quote to share with you in the form of a free printable today?Hello, friends! How's your weekend going? Our kids have off from school on Monday for Columbus Day so it's a three day weekend around here. Even Mr. CBD has off! We're supposed to have some glorious fall weather so I'm really looking forward to it.
In case you hadn't noticed, I've really gotten into fonts and printables lately, so I decided that it might be fun to offer my readers a new free printable every week or so. Fingers crossed. But before I share with you today's printable, I'd like to show you the "before" picture of the frame I used.
Here she is pre-transformation. Not horrible. But it was time for a facelift. This topiary print had been hanging in our master bathroom for over 10 years and I have to say that I had grown pretty sick of it. Coincidentally, I came into some new paint so I was itching for a project to try it out on. This was the perfect practice run. I'll fill you in on the new paint line in a later post but suffice it to say that I love it!
I loved it so much I even painted this!
When life gives you miniature pumpkins and white paint, make baby boos!
I didn't like the way the original mat looked with the (now) white frame. So I painted it gold! I actually painted the back side of the mat, and I can always turn it around and use the original white front side again with another print.
Frame Transformation Tip:
In order to get double duty out of your mats, you can always paint one side to match your artwork, while leaving the original color on the front for future use.
I really love the way this frame, mat and printable go so well together! I don't think it's going back to the master bath. I'm going to find a more prominent place for it elsewhere in the house. Then I'm going to have fun making more printables that I can share with all of you! They're kind of addicting:)
