Now that Christmas and New Years are behind us I wanted to take this opportunity to talk to you about reevaluation and the need for change. Over the past few years you've seen my blog grow and change in different ways. Maybe not as much as I would have liked, but there have been changes just the same. This year I'm hoping to implement more positive changes that will make this blog an even better resource for you, my dear readers.
Sometimes I've let technology get the best of me. Have you ever had that happen to you? I mean, I'm pretty savvy about the ins and outs of good blogging practices (the dos and don'ts). But understanding the technicalities behind things like blog templates, rss readers and just plain trying to keep up with social media has pretty much driven me mad this past year. I recently changed my blog template (or format) and header. Now I'm grappling with moving all of my loyal subscribers over to an email service so that I will be able to send you comprehensive weekly or biweekly emails that will keep you up to date on my most recent projects. Don't worry, this won't require anything on your part. The work is all on my end.
In addition, there's at least one other big change that will be implemented this year: a blog name change. That's right. This blog started out as a way to chronicle my jewelry-making, hence the name Charm Bracelet Diva. A few years later it was apparent that the blog had taken a different direction and was more of a DIY/home decor blog with a vintage twist. That caused me to reevaluate the name and Charm Bracelet Diva {At Home} was born. While that name has served me well over the past few years I feel in my heart of hearts that it's time for another change.
So what's the new name, you ask? Well, I'd like to keep it under wraps for now. But rest assured that I know what it will be and have bought the domain name so that once the name is officially changed, the URL (or internet address) of this blog will change along with it.
So what does this mean to you? Well, hopefully what it means is an even better experience when you visit the blog. That is my goal in all of this, after all. So I'm asking you to bear with me over these next few months as I work out the kinks and try to get things on track where I think they should be. And if there's anything you'd like to see more or less of on the blog please feel free to comment below or send me an email. I'm always happy to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for your friendship, loyalty and patience
while I figure this one out. It means the world to
me.
