Vintage Charm Party #89 and An Announcement

June 29, 2017

Vintage Charm is a vintage-themed link party where awesome thrifters and collectors link up each week with something new!

Welcome to Vintage Charm Party #89!

First up:

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM YOUR HOSTESSES!

Your Vintage Charm hostesses have been working together for over a year and a half, and have loved every minute of it. Getting to know each other, and all of our party guests as well, has been a deep and sincere pleasure. However, today, Sharon and Diana are bidding you all farewell as they move on to other endeavors related to both their blogs and "real" life. They've wished Kathleen and Cecilia the very best as they continue with the Vintage Charm party, and hope that you will continue to join in weekly as you have for the past 88-plus weeks! They look forward to continued friendship with each other and with all of our faithful party guests in the days ahead. Starting today, please visit Cecilia or Kathleen to link up for the party each week.

Now, on to business!

Let's find out what our hostesses have been up to!

Weekly Features

It's been difficult for us to choose just one feature each. Your vintage finds, vignettes and just plain creativity have been awesome!

Kathleen's Pick

Michele from Hello Lovely shows us how to create a simple, pretty and inviting outdoor summer party in her recent post Cupcakes and Cocktails In the Courtyard. She made cupcakes (with pink buttercream frosting!) and homemade Amaretto lemonade cocktails to spice things up a bit. How absolutely lovely, Michele! The cupcakes look yummy, the drinks divine and the courtyard inviting. I can almost see myself with drink and cupcake in hand.....drop by and experience the loveliness all for yourself!

Sharon's Pick

Kristy and Corey, the husband and wife team from Robb Restyle, have quite an eye for vintage finds and use them to their full decorative potential. Their Vintage American Party Decor is an example of their love of vintage coming to life. Hop on over to the party to join in the fun.

Cecilia's Pick

It's that time of year when graduates are celebrated and I have truly enjoyed seeing all the vintage-inspired graduation parties. Last week Lora B. from Create and Ponder shared the delightful Junk Beautiful Photo & Memory Displays she and her daughter created with vintage crib springs to showcase her high school theater productions. As a theater mom myself, I am smitten with this idea! Drop by to see the rest of the charming displays and all of Lora's fun vintage party decor!

Diana's Pick

Oh how I love a brand new, fresh idea! And that's just what Lauren at Wonderfully Made came up with in her post, Vintage Castor Wheel Photo Bookends. Using the castors as fabulous, unique bookends would have been enough for me, but adding the photo element ramped the whole project up a notch. I'm sure her husband was thrilled with his made-with-love Father's Day gift.

Party Guidelines
(Does #7 say "Prizes"???)

1. Content: Submit up to three posts that involve vintage finds, crafts, DIYs and other vintage subject matter. No shops or direct advertising, please.

2. Reminder: No recipe links, please.

3. Link-back: We'd love it if you'd include the Vintage Charm button or a text link back to the party in your linked post.

4. Visitation: Please visit other blog posts -- after all that's what a link-up is all about. When pinning please go to the source of the photo to pin it so the originator of the post gets the credit.

5. Hostess Love: Consider following each of your party hostesses' blogs and/or one or more forms of social media. We love connectig with each of our guests and will be highlighting features on all of our social media.

6. Spread the Word: Consider mentioning Vintage Charm on your social media to help spread the word and make this party a great experience for everyone.

7. Prizes: Keep in mind that each month we will select one of the month's featured posts to be featured on all four hostesses' blogs. At the end of the year one of the twelve monthly features will be selected as the Grand Prize Feature of the Year. Prize TBA.

8. Permission: By linking up to Vintage Charm you assert that the photographs are yours (or you have permission to use them) and you give your hostesses permission to feature them on social media or a blog party with a link back to your blog. You will likewise assert that the content of the post is your own.

Don't forget to Pin it!

Also, we hope you'll follow our Vintage Charm Features and Favorites Pinterest Board. We don't just pin features, but many other posts we love as well. We want to build your traffic and popularity any way we can!

Don’t miss another thrifty,
 DIY home décor post!

Hi Kathleen! Thanks for hostessing your party for us! I loved your upcycled rosary beads. I have an obsession (seemingly) for painting stuff with white/cream chalk paint so I really like the new look for it.

Kathleen, although Sharon & Diana have chosen to pursue other opportunities in blogging, I'm really happy you & Cecilia are planning to continue Vintage Charm. I was already following your blog, and will certainly continue. Thank you for hosting, and I hope your 4th is full of fun!

Kathleen! Thanks for featuring me today--I feel so flattered and fancy to be singled out, and I know you understand how lonely blogging can sometimes be, so it's such an encouragement to feel lifted up. Have a wonderful weekend, friend. xox
