This week I'm just going to jump right into my Thrill of the Hunt finds because I'm especially excited about one of them. You'll probably think I'm crazy, but this one brings back happy memories for me.
The Moo Cow Creamer.
Talk about 1970's kitsch.

Isn't it adorable? I'm not totally sure that I'd put it out there with my best dishware, but I do think it might be fun to use from time to time.
I remember these from my teen years (late 1970's - early 1980's) and seeing one now just makes me smile. They were created by two Dartmouth classmates in Warren, Pennsylvania. I'm from Pennsylvania so perhaps I saw more of them than the average bear. The company was called Whirley Industries, and they're still manufacturing various items today. Sadly, no more Moo Cow Creamers.
I love the fact that the head comes off for ease of filling and cleaning. And for 99 cents it was a steal. I've seen them offered on various websites for between $5.00 and $20.00.
I use milk in my tea every morning, and I do think that starting a new morning regimen that includes this little guy might just be a good idea.
Next up is a pair of vintage Loomco porcelain teddy bear salt and pepper shakers circa 1990's.
I picked up the set for $1.99. Since then I've seen them offered on eBay, etc. for around $5.00.
They were manufactured in China by Loomco, presumably in the 1990's. I really can't find anything on the company so if you have any info I'm all ears.
Now there was no way that I could leave these little guys sitting on the shelf at Goodwill. I've explained in previous posts how vintage Christmas collectibles somehow find me almost everywhere I go.
And they spoke to me. Although I must admit that after bringing them home I thought that maybe they weren't even Christmas-related. Perhaps they were just choir boys holding candles?
I just love the attention to detail.
On the bottom it says "Made in Japan." Christmas choir boys trio SOLD.
Last but not least there's my porcelain rocking horse.
The gold accents and the flowers are what drew me in.
The back side is less ornate.
Here you can really see the gilded details. I picked it up at a new-to-me resale shop my daughter and I stumbled across recently.
It was manufactured for Enesco in China. I believe it's from the 1970's. Enesco Rocking Horse Figurine is SOLD.

Oh I love your Moo creamer! I have never seen one before and don't remember it from the 70s. Wonder if it has to do with location? The choir boys are adorable, too! They look like they might be Lefton collectibles--they are made in Japan and don't always have the red seal. You might try a search on Etsy to see if you find similar ones--or you may already have ;)
Wow. I love this art work that looks amazing and I hope that having these arts at home, you can make interior decoration impressive.

I think the choir boys certainly look Christmas related with their red bow ties. I would have snapped those cute little guys up in a second!
The creamer is too cute! I don't think I've ever seen one. I remember my grandmother having those choir boys...she always had them out at Christmas. Love your finds. I never seem to find stuff like that. Glad someone does! 😊
OH, the choir boys were my hands down favorite. I love their sweet faces. They do look like Lefton to me! I would definitely use them at Christmas, but they would be cute anywhere, any time especially next to something with a music context. I would put them next to a manger with Baby Jesus! I remember the cow creamers; probably get 3-4 days of milk per filling for your tea and easier than lugging the gallon jug. I had to smile when I saw the Thermos. My ex was forever breaking them till he finally got a Thermos stainless steel one. I used to clean it occasionally with Dip-It, the stuff made to clean coffee pots. It really got the internal crud off! Once, it slipped out of the front end loader he was operating and he ran over it; totally squashed, but it still didn't leak! Thanx for triggering the memory!

I'd say the choir boys are definitely Christmas. They are sure cute as is the adorable cow creamer & rocking horse figurine. They would have come home with me too. Great finds Kathleen!!
