I featured a very talented blogger at yesterday's Vintage Charm Party. I loved what she linked up so much that I had to go and try it for myself. Was I successful? I'll let you decide.

Kim from Exquisitely Unremarkable shared her "aha" moment when she realized she could create one of those beautiful fall floral arrangements in a pumpkin without ever having to deal with the mess that normally ensues when cutting up a real pumpkin. She used a thrifted pumpkin cookie jar!

And to think I almost gave this ceramic pumpkin to Goodwill this past year!

I can't believe I hadn't thought of this myself! I've wanted to make a pumpkin vase for a few years now, but I was too lazy to do all the work. Problem solved. I just placed a low, plastic container with water into the pumpkin and then cut my flowers to size.

Baby Boo pumpkins are my favorite, followed by the blue ones -- I'm not sure what they're called. I haven't seen any in my neck of the woods this year. So Baby Boos it is.

I placed the arrangement on a chippy painted galvanized tray I got from either Decor Steals or Antique Farmhouse, I can't remember which (sorry). It came in a group of three trays and I love using them to set up vignettes.

This photo gives you a sneak peek of the new living room freshly painted. I tell you it's like night and day from what it used to be, but you'll get to see that when I do the big reveal.

Of course I had to sneak my last hydrangea blooms of the season into the arrangement!

I'm extremely grateful for the chance to experience the beauty of fall, as it's my favorite season of the year. Hence my Grateful printable.

Free Fall Printable

The arrangement's fall colors made me wish I could keep it around through Thanksgiving, but knowing that isn't possible I decided to create a fall printable that will stick around throughout Thanksgiving season and beyond.

Just print it as an 8x10, then cut off the extra blank space around it. That makes it the perfect fit for an 8x10 frame.

Your dahlias are beautiful. My hydrangea is about the same color as yours now! Really like the entire tablescape. Good luck with your yard sale; hope the kids help. It is such a lot of work. Hope you keep your cash and phone on you; I forgot which blogger got ripped off this past season when anaother pereson distracted her.
