Free Spring Floral Printable and Dollar Store Frame Recycle

I don't know about you but I am officially ready for spring to arrive! And with spring on the brain I decided to create a pretty free spring floral printable to share with you, in anticipation of those glorious days to come. I used it to modify a piece of dollar store wall art to create a look that's perfect for this time of year when we're all craving some pretty spring flowers as opposed to snow! Are you with me?

I love you more every day box wall art Dollar Tree

I started my dollar store recycle project with this 3-D wooden wall art box. I didn't particularly care for the artwork/graphics on the front, but I KNEW that it had great bones that I could use to make a different sign that was more to my liking.

Here you can see the 3-D aspect of the "box." I call it a box, but for all intents and purposes it functions like a picture frame in that it's a vehicle on which to display your art. This type of box allows your art to really pop, without the distraction of a frame. I toyed around with the idea of painting over the graphics and stenciling a new graphic, but I ended up going in a different, easier direction. It was so easy I'm almost embarrassed to show you.

The earth laughs in flowers art printable

First, I created my printable graphic in PicMonkey, using a colorful spring wreath and an anonymous quote I've seen all over Pinterest. So the original artwork would not show through, I added an additional piece of blank paper as a buffer.

Then I just placed the two sheets on top of the box, lining it up so that the picture was centered. (I made sure to measure the box first, before I created my graphic. I knew I wanted to hang it vertically, so I purposefully chose an oval wreath that would look good in that position.) Then I just folded the excess paper on either side of the picture so that it was flat against the sides of the box. Add some double sided tape to it and voila.

The roses are left over from two 24-rose bouquets my sweet husband sent to me on Valentine's Day. Yes, that's 48 roses! They look lovely here in a vintage ironstone pitcher I thrifted a few years back. I've been enjoying them for over a week now and thought they would look good with my new spring printable!

I think I was right!

I also love the look of the cotton bolls and how they add texture to the vignette.

I know that this printable will brighten my days until the first real signs of spring arrive in my neck of the woods! And it can brighten your days, too!

Just right click on the above image and save to your computer. It's as easy as that!

Well, that's it until next time, friends!
