Dollar Tree stores are a great go-to spot for many DIY home decor enthusiasts on a budget. Seeing as that's the story of my life, I figured I could share my Dollar Tree insider-knowledge with you as I find new and noteworthy Dollar Tree items that you, too, can use to beautify your home. My first Dollar Tree Treasures post includes a farmhouse living room summer decor update I've been wanting to share with you -- so let's get started!

Despite a countless number of visits to my six (yes, six) local Dollar Tree stores over the years, it still never ceases to amaze me when I come across an item that I know I can use either by itself or as part of a project to make my home a more beautiful place. For mere pennies. I always feel like the shopping gods are smiling down on me on those days I make my Dollar Tree finds! Next to flea market/vintage/thrift store shopping, I have to say that Dollar Tree shopping comes in a very close second in my book.
The recent Dollar Tree finds I want to spotlight today are two sets of incredibly farmhouse-vintage-shabby chic hobnail glass votive candle holders! I've been a hobnail girl for many years now. So I pretty much stopped in my tracks when I saw them as I sauntered down the aisle. And they were in pastel colors no less!
The pink ones say "Sparkling Proseco" and have a lovely fruity aroma.
The white hobnail candle holder is filled with "Blushed White Wine" and has more of a musky, molasses-ey aroma. Both type candles have been sprinkled with glitter. You can never have too much glitter, I always say.
They make a welcome addition to the white galvanized farmhouse tray on my living room coffee table. The pinks and whites match both the tray and the gorgeous summer bouquet in my vintage farmhouse ironstone pitcher.
The tray was an accidental find at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. It's distressed just so, with the outline of a chicken and the words:
Framers [sic] Market
Organic Produce
Poultry Scratch Feed
Yes, it says Framers Market, not Farmers Market. Apparently I should have gotten a bigger discount. Despite the typo, it goes beautifully with my summer living room decor and I would not change a thing. I know I'll get a lot of use out of that tray over the coming years.
Two new floral summer pillows also go well with the candles and bright summer bouquet.
I like to think that the fuchsia flower is a peony, one of my favorites. This pillow is from Wal-Mart's Mainstays collection. You can also find a huge selection of watercolor floral pillow cases on Amazon:
I love to be able to change out my pillow covers with the seasons to get a whole new look for not a lot of money.
This pillow, while very similar to the Wal-Mart pillow, is from World Market. I purchased it with a $10 rewards coupon and it was also 50% off. Score. I love how it nearly matches the Wal-Mart pillow.
I'm extremely happy with my watercolor pillows, summer floral bouquet and Dollar Tree hobnail candle holders. I think the candle holders add just the right touch to the vintage-inspired white galvanized tray.
You can use these hobnail candles all around your home for some quick and inexpensive shabby chic farmhouse decor. Good luck on the hunt -- let me know if you find some and how you use them!
I have to admit that the hobnail candle holders are not the only Dollar Tree candles that I fell in love with! I found a few others but restrained myself from buying them. Take a look.

Have you seen any of these candles in your local Dollar Tree store? Better yet, have you bought any?
I know that not all Dollar Tree stores carry the same merchandise at the same time. Even so, it's my hope that what you read about here in my Dollar Tree Treasures posts will inspire you to keep an eye out for similar items that you can use in your own home or as part of your own DIY decor projects.
Well, that's it for today, friends!
I hope I've inspired you in some way and that
you've enjoyed reading Dollar Tree Treasures #1!

I had no idea that the Dollar Store had such pretty candles.
Great find, Kathleen! I just bought a few Dollar Tree candles similar to some you've shown and I'm going to try them out in my antique booth. PS: Love the summer look in your living room :)
