Welcome, friends, to another fun-filled Thrill of the Hunt post where I share my latest thrifty (and mostly) vintage finds with you. I'm excited to get started so here goes!
I picked up this weathered, galvanized tin cup filled with faux greenery at my favorite pop-up estate sale for $1.99.
I placed it inside a farmhouse chicken wire-lidded container and set it on my DIY vintage French farmhouse clock table.
I love how it mixes in seamlessly with my other faux greenery as well as my real plants. You can see to the right of it a mini herb cloche that I picked up at the same pop-up site, just a few months earlier.
Can you tell I have a love for galvanized containers? I picked up this farmhouse stenciled galvanized pail at Goodwill for 99 cents.
While it's not vintage, it still has that shabby look I love. And it's the perfect size for one of my plants in the living room. I just popped the terra cotta pot right in and voila -- instant farmhouse charm. I'm sure I'll find other uses for it, decor-wise, in the future.
Last but not least I found a vintage pink depression glass creamer at a vintage market held in a barn on beautiful farmland way out in the country. I paid $6.00 for it, which is a lot for me, but there was a method to my madness. The creamer is on the left, acting as a vessel for one of my fresh hydrangea blooms from the yard.
On the right is another vintage pink depression glass piece I purchased from an online candle retailer -- they periodically offer their candles poured in non-traditional containers, like this sugar bowl. I thought the two went well together, which is why I bought the creamer -- to create a set.
Once the candle has burned all the way down I'll be able to use the sugar bowl as a vase as well. And who knows? I might even use the two for their intended purpose and fill them with
Well, that's it for today, friends!
I hope I've inspired you in some way and that

I love using sugarers and creamers for small flower vases; they fill a small empty space nicely, don't block the view across the table when used as a centerpiece, etc. Love your galvanized treasures!
