Are you familiar with hand-stamped book bundles? Today I'm sharing a new hand-stamped book bundle -- again with some how-to tips, but this time with a different quote and embellishments. It's a super-inexpensive DIY home decor project that even a beginner can accomplish easily in an afternoon.
Farmhouse Bible Quote Hand-Stamped Book Bundle
I've been using Goodwill deconstructed books as decor for many years now, well before stamping them became a "thing." While I still love using them without words -- for French farmhouse decor, I became enamored of the ones with quotes and sayings stamped on them.My first foray into the phenomenon (no words) was with Pottery Barn-Inspired Deconstructed Book Bundles.
More recently I ventured into the DIY hand-stamped book bundle world and my first attempt at DIY hand-stamped book bundles was a huge success. I keep this one proudly displayed on a table in the living room.
Then, as Christmas approached, I thought, why not? Let's make a Christmas-themed DIY hand-stamped book bundle. But I wanted more. I just wasn't sure what the next book bundle would be. Then in came the Thrift Store Challenge.
Here are my three books. I had them on hand from prior Goodwill jaunts. They probably cost less than one dollar each. I haven't been to a Goodwill in ages due to the pandemic. I can't wait to get back out there!
- If possible, I try to place a book with little to no writing on the top of the bundle. That way you can cover whatever few words are on the page with your embellishments.
-
For me, the hardest part of the whole project is picking a quote. After thinking long and hard on what quote to use, I decided to go with a shorter version of a longer Bible quote, one of my all-time favorites:
Faith
Can Move
Mountains (Matthew 17:20).
- While my books this time were a bit smaller than the ones I used previously, luckily their spines were lengthy enough to fit the words I wanted! That's always something to be mindful of. You know the drill: measure twice, cut once. (You can see the full quote in the wall art above the dresser in the foyer picture below. I NEVER could have fit the whole quote onto those small books!)
- My truly in-depth tutorial on how to make hand-stamped book bundles of your own can be found at How To Make Hand-Stamped Book Bundles.
- I used the exact same process for this bundle. So without further ado, here it is.
-
I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I wrapped up the bundle, and some fresh boxwood cuttings from the yard, with some tried and true farmhouse twine.
- Then I mixed things up a bit and added my DIY farmhouse wood bead garland to the vignette. It's actually a project I did for a previous Thrift Store Challenge almost three years ago!
Don't Forget To Pin It!
Well, that's it until next time, friends!

This must be the next hot crafting trend, Kathleen! I must have been living under a rock or just not paying attention to the crafting world. You've just introduced me to DIY book bundles in decor! I love the idea of personalizing a stack of books with favorite quotes! What a cool decorative effect! Thanks for sharing!
Your book bundles all look lovely, Kathleen. Perfect for your decor scheme. I can't wait to get back out to a thrift store either!
Love this so much! I’m such a fan of stacked books, I really need to make my own sometime!
These are beautiful!! I love the Bible verse you decided to use, too. I love a good thrift store challenge!
I love these, Kathleen!
I still cringe when I think of "destroying" books, but if I wanted to, I guess I could. I really like them in your decor. I especially like the Bible verses. I had a former boyfriend who frequently said, Faith can move mountains, but guess who's got to bring the shovel." I have a "It's a Wonderful Life sign in my front hall over the coat closet door--year round! I really like your farmhouse decor--and I started out not being a farmhouse fan at all!
I love these words/verse and how your books turned out. Actually all of the book ideas are great. If I had a dough bowl full of them I'd be one happy girl. Okay, I'm already super happy but those are so beautiful piled up in that bowl! Pinned. Thanks for joining us at Friday Farmhouse!
