Welcome to Dollar Tree Treasures #12! Dollar Tree stores are a great go-to spot for many DIY home decor enthusiasts on a budget. Seeing as that's the story of my life, I figured I could share my Dollar Tree insider knowledge with you as I find new and noteworthy Dollar Tree items that you, too, can use to beautify your home. Dollar Tree Treasures #12 includes some super-fun items including vases, crafting supplies, farmhouse pitchers and fall floral picks.
While I still have some treasures in my stash, I was able to pick up these Dollar Tree treasures recently, since we have entered Phase 4 here in Illinois and stores are open. I love them so much I wanted to share them right away. My first Dollar Tree treasure find, on its face, isn't crazy-exciting. However, I will say that it is one of the best values at Dollar Tree as far as home decor goes. (One of these days I'm going to have to write a post listing a DO/DON'T buy list.)
One line of merchandise that's always a great value at Dollar Tree is their glass vases. Whether clear glass or colored, large or small, there's always a wide variety for the choosing. Seriously, you can find all kinds of vases -- small vases for crafting projects, large vases for floral arrangements and some vases made specifically for certain life events, like weddings and showers, for example.
I picked up these three small-to-moderate-sized vases with a specific craft project in mind. No, I'm not making something for a wedding, despite the "bride squad" language on the middle vase. In actuality it's a drinking glass, not a vase. But who says I can't use it for one? I'll be revealing the project in a future post and I'm really excited about it.
This bottle of Mod Podge will be used in said project. While this is a large matte jar of Mod Podge, I recently picked up a small jar of glossy Mod Podge at my local Dollar Tree. They have really expanded their crafting supplies in all the stores near me. I was originally impressed with their artists' canvases a year or two ago. Now they have all kinds of acrylic paints, stencils, paint brushes, wooden dowel sticks and a boatload more.
You should always check the Dollar Tree for crafting supplies before going to the big name craft stores. Don't get me wrong, I love Michael's and Hobby Lobby. But I know from experience that I have gotten some of my craft supplies much cheaper at Dollar Tree. (Although maybe not Mod Podge since their bottles are way smaller than the bigger bottles you can get at the craft store. But in a pinch I say go for it.)
Another Dollar Tree shopping tip is don't ignore the merch at the checkouts. Yes, most of it is just "fluff" -- the stuff put they put there for you to buy on a whim as you're standing there, bored, in line. But sometimes that fluff can be a treasure. Take this mini porcelain farmhouse pitcher, for example. I found it near the register as I was checking out. Silent squeals were produced, as I fell in love immediately.
The beauty of this little baby is that even if you don't like farmhouse style per se, you can still use this pitcher -- just turn it around to the back where it's blank!
I use all my vintage ironstone pitchers for flowers so I thought -- why not this one, too? I then filled it with flowers from my back yard flower garden.
Ironically, the flowers were grown from seeds I bought at -- wait for it -- Dollar Tree! You can read all about those treasures in my Dollar Tree Treasures #10 post.
Last but not least I could not be more thrilled to share this new Dollar Tree treasure I picked up a week ago. I know it's a bit early for Fall decor but hey -- I had to grab these fast!
As soon as I saw these faux baby boo pumpkin picks with berries I just had to have them. I absolutely love to use baby boos in my fall decor so these are just perfect.
We all know that this type of faux floral can cost an arm and a leg at a regular craft store, even with a coupon or on sale.
I was so thrilled to find four of these picks at one Dollar Tree location that I went to another location and got their last four as well!
I know there are many people who would never dream of shopping at a Dollar Tree store for home decor. Unfortunately, they are missing out -- but I guess that just means more for me!
I know that not all Dollar Tree stores carry the same merchandise at the same time. Even so, it's my hope that what you read about here in my Dollar Tree Treasures posts will inspire you to keep an eye out for similar items that you can use in your own home or as part of your own DIY decor projects.

Love your baby boo picks. I love odd # of multiples for wreathe making.
can't wait to see what you do with the "vases." Several Christmas' ago, I took a flared vase (yard sale or GW), filled it with Christmas pot pourri, added a flared candle cup which set down in nicely and votive to the top. As the glass warmed, the pot pourri smell intensified. I am sometimes disappointed, tho, when I can't find the treasures you have. Maine gets a different batch of stuff. I occasionally buy the wooden dollhouse tables and make a baking scene on them; they are so cute.
