Happy Halloween greeting card Dollar Tree Treasures #15

Welcome to Dollar Tree Treasures #15! Dollar Tree stores are a great go-to spot for many DIY home decor enthusiasts on a budget. Seeing as that's the story of my life, I figured I could share my Dollar Tree insider knowledge with you as I find new and noteworthy Dollar Tree items that you, too, can use to beautify your home. Dollar Tree Treasures #15 includes some Halloween decor items and DIY supplies as well as some adorably fall-themed portable drinking tumblers and seasonal word wall art -- so sit back, relax and let's get started!

I told myself that I would not be sucked down the Halloween rabbit hole at Dollar Tree this year. And I almost wasn't. However, I did pick up a select few Halloween-related things I just could not resist.

You may not be aware that Dollar Tree sells greeting cards. And while the selection might not be as large as a Hallmark store, they do have a pretty big selection. And they've really raised the bar when it comes to specialty cards -- like Halloween cards, for example. Many are 2 for $1.00, while I believe their "Handmade Collection" cards go for $1.00 each.

What I loved about these particular cards was their decidedly vintage flair. When I saw them I immediately had an idea for a quick and easy DIY Halloween craft. Can you guess what it is? There will be a blog post devoted to that, coming up soon. Frames are another great value at Dollar Tree. I've used them for all sorts of DIY crafts over the years, as well as actually using them as, well, frames. I really loved the look of these 5" x 7" gold frames.

What's more Halloween-worthy than a black cat sitting in a pumpkin?

And I can't say that this owl screamed "vintage" to me, but there was just something about it that I loved.

And who doesn't love a cute seasonal portable tumbler with a built-in straw? I'm loving those cute pumpkins and red pick-up trucks with pumpkins in the back! Perfect for sipping apple cider!

And here's what I call the Hello Fall tumbler.

It's adorned with the ubiquitous red pick up truck that says Hello Fall and its' bed is bursting with pumpkins. I love it!

I was thrilled to find these neutral-colored, seasonal word hanging signs. They can be used alone as part of your overall fall decor or they might also have a project-specific use as well. You can use them as-is, or paint them. I painted the word "Thankful" and am using it as part of a fall vignette on the coffee table.

I plan to use the words "Family" and "Gather" in a few future projects. I think these words are especially Thanksgiving-themed, so I'll probably be using them soon. (Can't believe Thanksgiving is only 55 days away as of this writing!) What treasures have you found at Dollar Tree lately?

Well, that's it until next time, friends!
