Today I'm sharing my beautiful paint by number floral still life painting entitled
Blooming Still Life from Winnie's Picks.
The paint-by-number kit was provided by Winnie's Picks. However, all opinions are my own.
As someone who hadn't completed a paint by number kit since her
elementary school days, I was a bit apprehensive to start one now. But
Winnie's Picks asked me to give it a whirl. And when I saw this lovely
Blooming Still Life kit I knew it was time to try again.
It arrived in a well-made, sturdy mailing tube.
The outside of the tube lets you know exactly what you'll find on the
inside.
Each kit comes with a black and white printed replica of the canvas for
your reference (like a cheat sheet of sorts), that includes all those really tiny numbers that can
sometimes be a bit hard to read directly from the canvas. And it comes with the requisite paint colors for your particular painting along with three paint brushes.
Mine came with 24 small pots of paint.
I honestly hadn't thought about the size of the canvas, so when it
arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was way bigger than I
would have thought. The actual dimensions are 20" by 15".
Here is a completed Blooming Still Life painting as seen on Winnie's Picks' Pinterest page.
And here's my masterpiece!
It was a no-brainer for me to style the painting with my romantic DIY 3-D vase and faux pink peonies. It definitely turned out better than I had hoped. This one in particular has a lot of shadows which makes it a bit more difficult to complete but the end result is worth it. For all of us still staying close to home (I know I am) this is a really relaxing way to spend your time.
Oops. Here you can see the very top of my favorite French mirror. You can see a full picture of it in my post about faux spring tulips.
Many people choose to have their paint by number canvas stretched over a wooden frame. I didn't want to do that so I went thrift store shopping to find a frame that would work.
Ironically, I loved the print that came inside the frame, so I've saved it and plan to display it in this frame again some time in the future. In the meantime, I'm going to leave my paint by number Blooming Still Life right where it is.
One other option is to send them a favorite photo and they'll create a custom paint by number kit just for you! If you're interested in painting your own masterpiece you should visit Winnie's Picks. I want to thank Winnie's Picks for providing me with an awesome canvas I know I will enjoy for a long time to come.
Well, that's it until next time, friends!

I recently completed a paint by number. It was fun & I found it so relaxing. Plus, it turned out beautiful!
How pretty! I love the floral design!
Kathleen, that is BEAUTIFUL! Ohmygosh, I wouldn't have the patience to do that (or puzzles), but I can work spreadsheets all day long. Isn't that funny how we're wired? I love finding vintage PBN too, because I value the time it takes to do them!
It seems like it would be a good stress releaser to paint by number. It turned out great and looks so pretty with your mantel decor!
Hi Kathleen,
I have seen these and they do turn out so pretty. I just am not one to sit and have patience with these. I bet for detailed people they are very relaxing. Happy Wednesday. xoxo
Gorgeous! I would never have suspected that it was a PBN! And your faux peonies are perfect with them!
MY GOODNESS! That's beautiful!! What a lovely job you did! I have to confess that during the height of the pandemic, I ordered a kit from a different company . . . me and fifty billion other people. It arrived long after I was back to work and when I looked at it, I was overwhelmed by the detail . . . and I donated it to Goodwill so SOMEONE is going to get a great deal on that kit haha! Now you make me wish I had kept it lol.
