Thrill Of The Hunt #121

January 7, 2022

Welcome, friends, to another fun-filled Thrill of the Hunt post where I share my latest thrifty (and usually) vintage finds with you.

My hope is that by sharing my thrifty finds I can motivate and inspire you to explore your own local thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets and barn sales and make your own fabulous finds for yourself. So let's get started.

faux Boston fern French urn planter romantic decor

First up is this French urn planter I found at Goodwill. I loved the urn but not the faux Boston fern. No problem!

As you can see, I ditched the fern and added some moss and a lovely faux pumpkin for fall decor in the foyer. You can read about how I transformed it in How To Display Fall Pumpkins The French Way.  I know I'll have fun decorating it for all the seasons!

Next up is a red and white stripe reversible coverlet I picked up at a local vintage sale. It was months before Christmas but I knew exactly what I would use it for. Our Christmas bedroom!

It couldn't have been a better fit for the decor this year. It's also super soft and reversible. I like to place it over half the bed and fold part of it down for a contrasting look. That's the beauty of always using white duvet covers and sheets -- you can dress them up with any colors you like depending on the seasons.

I even got the same quilt (larger size) with blue and white ticking from the same seasonal pop-up vintage sale, although I haven't shared it here yet. It goes great with my everyday blue and white bedroom!

This vintage Christmas collectible "Star Man Poland" figurine is part of the International Resourcing Services, Inc.'s Santa Claus Collection. The company went out of business in 2008. Manufactured in 1992, Star Man Poland represents Santa Claus in Poland. He's another one of my lucky Goodwill Christmas finds.

Wearing a bright blue robe and hat, Star Man carries a staff with a yellow star on top.

He also carries a satchel overflowing with children's toys. This Star Man Poland Santa figurine, which was in my Etsy shop, is now SOLD.

Keep an eye out for more vintage Christmas collectible items in the shop throughout the year!

Well, that's it for today, friends!

I hope you've enjoyed reading about my
