Welcome, friends, to another fun-filled Thrill of the Hunt post where I share my latest thrifty (and usually) vintage finds with you.
My hope is that by sharing my thrifty finds I can motivate and inspire you to explore your own local thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets and barn sales and make your own fabulous finds for yourself. So let's get started.
I'd like to start with something I got at Dollar Tree last summer.
As I've mentioned in many of my Dollar Tree Treasures posts, many of the things I pick up at Dollar Tree are things I recognize at first sight to be things that will look high end in my home, despite being from Dollar Tree.
My galvanized farmhouse tabletop "Home" sign was one of those things. It also just so happened to have a small, faux boxwood wreath in place of the letter "O." And we know how much I love my boxwood wreaths!
I absolutely love how it looked on one of my farmhouse shelves in the dining room, as part of my summer decor. You can read all about the decor, including a tutorial on how I made my DIY Dollar Tree Paisley Bandana Wreath.
And while I'm at it I might as well mention the blue and white plates I've displayed in my vintage chicken feeder. They, too, were from Dollar Tree. I also picked up the matching blue bowls there as well. Blue and white has become my go-to color combination. You can read all about the chicken feeder in Thrill of the Hunt #76.
Last but not least here's a beautiful white shower curtain I found at Goodwill, still in the original package.
I paid all of $2.99 for it. I figured even if I didn't use it for a shower curtain I could always use it for the fabric alone!
The fabric has a raised pattern. Or, as the label says, it's "microsculpted." Hopefully you can see that in this picture. I'm loving that it's textured and that it's brand new. Even so, I'll be sure to wash it before using it. And we all know that white is one of my favorite colors, so -- yay me!
Well, that's it for today, friends!
