Welcome, friends, to another fun-filled Thrill of the Hunt post where I share my latest thrifty (and usually) vintage finds with you.
I'm starting things off with the least impressive item, although I do love it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Next up are these two large blue and white porcelain vases that my oldest daughter bought for me at a local yearly neighborhood yard sale near her university. She saw them and she knew I would love them. And she was right.
These didn't have any maker's mark either but again that's ok. I love them because: well, look at them(!) and because my daughter got them for me.
I've placed them next to my DIY Faith Can Move Mountains deconstructed book bundle.
Last but not least is a gift I received from said daughter for Mother's Day. She went out of her way to look for a "blue and white" piece that she thought I would love. And she succeeded.
Transferware is always a favorite. Whether blue, brown or red, I'm inclined to collect it!
It's a Swinnerton's Silverdale 9" vegetable bowl made in Staffordshire England.
And for $5.50 it was a steal. I've seen it for sale on ebay for as much as $41.00.
Well, that's it for today, friends!
I hope you've enjoyed reading about
and that I've inspired you in some way.
