How To Make Thanksgiving Napkin Rings With Dollar Tree Craft Supplies

October 28, 2022

Today I'm sharing how to make Thanksgiving napkin rings with Dollar Tree craft supplies.

A while back I shared my fall farmhouse kitchen table on Instagram.

It was a mix of vintage and traditional fall decor.

And it was both fun and easy to style for the season.

It got me thinking about Thanksgiving tablescapes and I had an epiphany. While I know I won't be doing any real decorating or tablescaping this Thanksgiving holiday since I'm having surgery that week (boo, I know), I did want to share this quick, easy and inexpensive idea I had for making DIY Thanksgiving napkin rings with Dollar Tree craft supplies.

There were two different items at Dollar Tree that when I saw them I thought "napkin rings."

One item was a package of leather leaves they called "luggage tags" on the label, first shared in Dollar Tree Treasures #21. While I didn't think they were strong enough to be actual luggage tags, I did think they'd make awesome napkin rings.

And with the words Blessed and Thankful on them, what better holiday to use them for than Thanksgiving?

All I did was slide the leather rings over the napkin and gathered them on the back side with twisty ties to make it taut.

I'm in love with the layered dessert plates that have cotton bolls painted on them.

I love the simplicity of it. And the best part is that you can have your guests take them home afterwards to use for something else,

The other items I saw and knew right away they would make great napkin rings were these wooden leaves hanging from wood bead garlands. I got them at the same time as these gilded clip-on leaves.

I wanted four leaves to spell out the word "fall" but there weren't enough left. So I just grabbed two and figured I'd either paint them or decoupage over them and use them as napkin rings.

Then I realized I could just turn them over!

Honestly, I might still paint and/or decoupage them. But you can totally use them plain just like this. Again, I love the simplicity of these as well. They're perfect for a rustic, neutral tablescape.

So you see it doesn't have to be complicated or costly to put together an attractive Thanksgiving and/or holiday table. Just use your imagination!

Well, that's it for today, friends.
