Welcome, friends, to another fun-filled Thrill of the Hunt post where I
share my latest thrifty (and usually) vintage finds with you.
My hope is that by sharing my thrifty finds I can motivate and inspire
you to explore your own local thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets
and barn sales, and discover your own fabulous finds for yourself. So
let's get started.
Normally I share pretty much random items that I've recently acquired
through my thrifting travels. But I recently began highlighting the most
lovely blue and white porcelain pieces I've been lucky enough to either be
gifted or find over the past few months.
The collection is large, so we're now at installment #3 in the series. If
you missed the first two installments, you can go back and review

First up is this lidded chinoiserie cachepot. My daughter found it for me
at Goodwill for $4.99. While that's a lot for me to spend on one of these, I
thought this one was unique enough to warrant the price.
It has no maker's mark, just a very faded $49.95 original price tag from a
store called Aaron Brothers. I checked into it and the parent company of
Michael's is called Aaron Brothers! Small world.
I've never seen one with a lid that has holes in it. Perhaps the
container is supposed to hold potpourri?
I can always use it without the lid as well.
I found this blue and white chinoiserie pitcher in a tiny thrift store in
my daughter's college town.
I immediately fell in love with it.
It's actually pretty huge and a great place to display flowers including
some of my dried hydrangeas.
I was also drawn to it due to its unusual shape and handle.
This is another chinoiserie cachepot that my daughter found for me at
Goodwill for $2.99.
I love the floral pattern on it and how it looks with my large moss ball
in it.
I believe many different types of faux greenery would look good in this,
especially boxwood.
And yes, there are still more installments of the Blue and White Series
yet to come, so stay tuned!

Always love seeing your blue and white finds as I love it, too. I wonder if that cache pot is a soap dish??? The holes would let the soap dry out and last longer?? Our GWs in Maine are increasingly expensive--not priced for resellers at all. And as a collector, I sometimes refuse to pay $3 for a Dollar Tree item! Happy New Year! Kathy A
