Our Hopeful Home: How To Create A Neutral Easter Tablescape

Today I'm sharing how to create a neutral Easter tablescape.

I've never really been one for sharing tablescapes. But for some reason this year I felt the bug, so here we are. It all started with beautiful flowers from Trader Joe's. Tulips and ranunculus scream Easter and spring to me.

I set up our Easter dinner display on the custom farmhouse table with windsor chairs we had made from red barn wood many years ago. It's all centered upon a neutral cotton table runner with fringe on its' edges. The table is super long (96 inches) so the runner is quite long as well (72 inches). The closest I could find is this 100% cotton braided stripe table runner.

I've already shared the DIY for these Easter Bunny Ear Napkins. Believe it or not the floral plates are the 7-inch farmhouse floral party round paper plates from Dollar Tree.

The main plate is a white Royal Norfolk beaded dinner plate, also from Dollar Tree. I got them a few years ago. Right now Dollar Tree is only selling Royal Norfolk red beaded ceramic plates or Royal Norfolk blue beaded ceramic plates online.

I found a discontinued Pottery Barn white beaded plate on Esty for $21.00. Then there's the Everyday White by Fitz and Floyd Beaded Dinner Plates (set of 4).

There's something so serene about a neutral tablescape.

The wicker candles work well with the sea grass placemats. I got mine at Aldi, but very similar candles can be found online -- like the Park Hill Collection Willow Candle.

The pink vase is from Target a number of years ago. And the riser it's sitting on was a DIY project I'll be sharing later.

I added some Dollar Tree jute carrots as decoration on top of my DIY fake naked cake.

The beige ticking fabric carrots were another DIY I made last year -- my No-Sew Fabric Easter Carrots. They're one of my favorite Easter projects.

Moss bunnies from Target from a few years ago add a whimsical twist to the vignette. They're no longer sold by Target, but you can get a similar moss flocked bunny online. They've become a staple Easter decoration in my home.

The cutlery I used is some of my thrifted ivory handled cutlery that I absolutely love. I'd give a link for some similar cutlery online but it's so darn expensive I have to recommend that you try finding some at thrift stores and estate sales, like I found mine.

The ivory handles play into the neutral theme for the tablescape.

To sum it up: Natural elements like seagrass placemats and wicker-wrapped candles, combined with white plates, white napkins, a neutral table runner and beige ticking fabric carrots all come together to create a neutral, and serene, tablescape. In this instance I tend to believe that less is more, which makes putting it all together that much easier.
