Do you decorate with Putz houses for Christmas? I usually display some every year in a small village - like vignette. But today I'm sharing a novel way to display Putz houses for the Christmas holidays -- nesting them in holiday greens placed inside a vintage wooden toolbox!
It's an easy and inexpensive way to elevate your Christmas decor this year. So let's get started!

I've used both vintage and new Putz houses over the years in many a Christmas vignette. But this year I had a new and fun idea for how to display them.
Almost 10 years ago my husband bought me a vintage wooden toolbox at an antique mall in Holland, Michigan. I've used it for tons of seasonal displays over the years including:
Rustic Christmas centerpiece filled with fresh evergreen cuttings
Wooden toolbox filled with moss and natural filler
Vintage wooden toolbox filled with pink pumpkins
This year I racked my brain for a fresh new way to use the toolbox as a seasonal vignette. And it was Putz houses for the win!
Rustic + vintage-inspired + seasonal greenery and tea lights
= the perfect Christmas display!
It couldn't be simpler. Take whatever container you have at hand. Add either fresh greens or faux -- I used a faux cedar garland bolstered by a lambs ear garland for volume.
Fun way to display little Christmas houses. Love that old tool tote!
