This time last year I announced my thrifting goal for 2023 -- to find beautiful (and sometimes vintage) wall art at affordable prices. And I lucked out a few times. But sometimes you just gotta improvise!
Recently I came across some big box store wall art that's perfect for my winter decor refresh and I was absolutely stoked at what I found. So where do you think I found it?

Wal-Mart. I found it at Wal-Mart. I don't know if you ever shop there, but I do, all the time -- and I think if you're not a Wal-Mart shopper you should become one -- because you would be amazed at what you'll find!
I've found so many great buys at Wal-Mart over the years that I can't believe I've never tried to nudge you in their direction. Consider it done now!
I was shocked to find this gorgeous gold framed floral art print (behind glass) at my local Wal-Mart. And the real kicker? The price! $14.86, gold frame and all. And at 16" x 20" it's a great size.
I knew at first sight it fit my aesthetic (vintage, vintage-inspired, French farmhouse, romantic) and placed it directly into the cart.
Once I got it home I couldn't wait to display it.
It looks beautiful sitting on one of my vintage-inspired farmhouse shelves in the living room, propped up against the wall. I love placing art onto shelves -- that way you don't need to put holes in the wall, and can change out your displays whenever the spirit moves you.
I purchased the shelf (2, actually!) from Kirkland's a few years ago. I've loved using them to decorate for the seasons. If you're interested, you can find similar ones here:

You can mix your art on the shelf with different pieces of thrifted and vintage decor for the perfect look. I've included a rattan lidded basket as well as an urn with faux greens and a deconstructed book bundle tied with velvet ribbon. Mixing textures adds to the eclectic look.
The brushed gold frame is gorgeous!
I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and the price. I found a similar piece of artwork on one of my favorite online shopping sites for $49!
