Lately I've become obsessed with swans, and today I'm sharing one of my latest thrifted swan treasures - along with how I styled it!
I spied this baby on the Goodwill shelf and fell in love.
Here's the vintage porcelain swan trinket box I picked up at Goodwill for $1.99! Much to my relief, despite its delicate nature, it was fully intact with nary a chip. Score! And into the cart it went.
I fell in love with the delicate flowers and gold detailing.
After giving it a quick rinse, I placed it on my highboy dresser in a spot I know I'll pass by every day.
It blends in beautifully with the romantic bedroom vibes I've got going on these days.
While not huge by any means, it's perfect for storing earrings and rings. I added some favorite pearls into the mix for the photo shoot.
For day-to-day use, I will be keeping the lid closed to protect some of my smaller gems.
However, I couldn't resist adding some necklaces and a bracelet to the mix in order to make a real statement! I am totally loving my $1.99 vintage swan trinket box.
I'm not sure what aesthetic my swan display belongs to -- grandmacore, granny chic or perhaps grandmillenial? If I'm being honest I must say that these decorating trends and what they really encompass has eluded me for some time. In the end all that matters is that I love it, right?
I'll be sharing some additional swan thrift store finds in the near future so stay tuned!
Do you have a favorite jewelry box or trinket dish?

ReplyDeleteAs I always say you find the greatest treasure up by you. Hope your Memorial Day was nice. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteI love this! I have a thing for swans too! We are always on the same wave length. lol. I can't wait to see your other ones. I haven't been able to find any within a reasonable price range. $1.99 is a score! xo- MaryJo
ReplyDeleteOh, another thing we have in common; I have loved swans for years. Starting with the Boston swan boats as a kid; such a treat back then! I finally figured out WHY I love swans so much; I considered myself an ugly duckling as a child. It took me a LONG time to become a swan! I have a host of glass and ceramic ones--mainly in a seldom used 1/2 bath! They are so pretty for trinkets, short stemmed flowers, or just a parade! Kathy A
