Welcome to Dollar Tree Treasures #31! Dollar Tree stores are a great go-to spot for many DIY home decor enthusiasts on a budget. Stick around while I share my Dollar Tree insider knowledge with you as I find new and noteworthy Dollar Tree items that you, too, can use to beautify your home.

two rattan trinket boxes on table

These and similar types of rattan storage boxes have been all the rage lately. And not for cheap. Which is why I passed on buying any -- until I saw these.

Not only do these fashionable 7" x 4" x 2.5" rattan boxes have lids, the lids have a wooden bead closure. I'm a huge fan of adding texture to my decor, and these rattan boxes have texture to the max.

First Strike matches box and LED candle remote

They can be used for coaster storage, or T.V. remote storage, or keys-by-the-door storage, or jewelry storage or make-up storage. The possibilities are endless. They come in two shades -- light and dark rattan. They also come in two shapes -- rectangular (mine) and square.

I'll be using mine as storage for matches and LED candle remote controls on my coffee table in the living room.

One Dollar Tree standout for me will always be picture frames. They can be expensive, y'all! But if you look hard enough and are willing to sift through the plethora of frames at Dollar Tree, you are guaranteed -- yes, I said guaranteed -- to find some great picture frames.

This 5" x 7" beaded wood frame has become a farmhouse decor staple, so I was thrilled to find it at Dollar Tree. It works seamlessly with my DIY distressed wooden riser with beaded trim

NOTE: Dollar Tree does not carry large picture frames, so don't even bother looking for them there. The largest picture frames I've seen at Dollar Tree are 8" by 10" (which fulfills 95% of my needs).

The natural wood bead frame also comes in a square 4" x 4" shape. I could see putting a picture of each of our three kids in these. (You could easily paint them your color of choice as well.)

white arched photo frame 5" x 7"

Another Dollar Tree find I fell in love with is this white, arched 5" x 7" picture frame. And yes, the picture that came with it is still in it. I just haven't decided what picture to put in it yet.

hobnail toothpick holder filled with matches

I love using this thrifted vintage hobnail toothpick holder as a match holder. I paid 25 cents for it at a local church rummage sale.

pumpkin spice jar candle

And yes, the two-wick pumpkin spice candle is from Dollar Tree as well. I'll admit that when I bought it I though I was paying $3.00. When I got home I realized it actually cost $5.00. I rarely, if ever, buy any of their more expensive stuff.

But that's okay because it smells pretty good (probably wouldn't buy it again), and it comes in a glass container with a wooden lid that's quite similar to one I bought for much more money at Michael's last fall.

Hello Autumn leaf wood bead ornament

While I swore I was not going to buy a-n-y fall decor at Dollar Tree this year, I just couldn't pass up this adorable wood bead "Hello Autumn" ornament. I'll probably use it to decorate a fall wreath.

Right now it works in this early fall vignette.

four flower bouquet gift bags

I've never seen any gift bags quite like these. When I saw them I immediately thought of pretty summer garden flower bouquets.

Traditional gift bags are one thing, but b-o-u-q-u-e-t gift bags?

The bright floral patterns are irresistible!

I had to stop myself from buying more than 4!

I popped in some garden flowers for a trial run.

What blew me away was how large and strong these bouquet bags are! You could actually fit two large grocery store bouquets inside one of these bags! If you see these at your local Dollar Tree -- buy them!

Well, that's it for today, friends!

My thrift store addiction said...

Kathleen, your Dollar Tree definitely has a better selection than mine! I am in the process of creating a birthday box to ship to my oldest daughter and I made a special trip there to grab some of those awesome floral bags, but my store didn't have one item in your treasures. Great finds --our store needs to step up, lol!

Great items. Our Dollar Tree is the pits. Amazing how in other areas there are these great pieces.

I enjoyed seeing your treasures. I love exploring DT. I think your store has a different/better variety than ours in Maine. I do love the square frames that I've found there; it is hard to thrift a square one! I started a bit of fall crafting this week!
