French Country Christmas Rustic King Noble Fir

October 25, 2024

I've always been a real Christmas tree kind of girl -- for years -- until I wasn't. While I love the fresh pine scent and romanticism of trudging through the snow and picking out the perfect tree, there's something to be said for the convenience and ease of purchasing a faux (but life like), pre-lit Christmas tree.

So when King of Christmas reached out to me to review one of their Christmas trees, how could I say no? Unlike prior faux trees I've had, this one's a rustic 7 foot King Noble Fir which is a completely different style tree than I've ever had before. It's even pre-lit with a remote, and I'm so excited about it!

The tree was provided by King of Christmas. All opinions are my own.

Yes, it's early to have my Christmas tree up and decorated -- it's only October for goodness sake. But that's the life of a blogger -- we need to be ahead of the curve. We can't be blogging about our favorite Christmas tree a week before Christmas -- our readers need time to absorb our review and purchase a tree of their own in time for the holidays! So here is my unbiased review.

Christmas tree lights remote tree storage bag protective gloves foot pedal

My pre-lit 7' King of Christmas King Noble Fir artificial tree arrived in a sturdy box, along with these accessories:

1. Hand held remote control with built-in timer for the warm white LED lights (it has 8 different settings so you can definitely get your twinkle on -- and you can also dim them!)

2. Instruction booklet

3. Convenient storage bag

4. Protective gloves for "fluffing" the branches

5. Folding metal tree stand (see below)

In addition to the hand held remote control, it also comes with a foot pedal you can use to turn the lights on and off, as well as change the light patterns. The pedal is attached to the cord that runs from the tree and plugs into the wall.

The tree comes in three easy to assemble pieces. I started with the bottom section first, placing it into the tree stand. Then I added the middle section, followed by the top section. Here you can see the bottom and middle sections put together, after minimal "fluffing".

"Fluffing" refers to the act of pulling apart the individual branches on each section, bending them where necessary, to make it look more realistic than it does coming straight out of the box! You can really irritate your hands and arms while fluffing if you don't wear gloves, so they come in super handy.

I prefer to fluff each section individually after adding it to the tree. Once all three sections are put together, I go back and fluff some more! Fluffing is a must for any artificial tree, as it helps to create a more realistic look. However, I will say that this tree required the least amount of fluffing I've ever had to do for a faux tree.

It also comes with a folding metal tree stand. Since the stand folds flat it takes up less storage space when it's time to put the tree away!

Here it is all put together. One of the best things about this tree is that the 500 warm LED lights are automatically connected when you put the tree together.

I chose this tree in particular due to its rustic, sparse look which I thought best reflected a French country Christmas look. Trees like this are great for simple decorating and allow you to really showcase the ornaments you do use. However, I love the look even without ornaments as well -- especially when the lights are twinkling!

It was fun to capture the gorgeous, decorated tree in the reflection of not one but two mirrors -- the large gold Arhaus dupe floor mirror and this vintage thrifted Trumeau mirror that I lovingly made over to look like my favorite Trumeau mirror of all time.

I tried to keep the ornaments to a minimum, however, I've never been known as a minimalist so I had to contain myself:)

Keeping the color theme to mainly gold ornaments, many of them vintage, allows the underlying tree to remain the star of the show. I added the remote controlled clip-on LED candles with velvet bows and a rattan tree collar to round out the French country Christmas look.

Here's a full shot of the vintage French Trumeau mirror I transformed to match a similar Trumeau mirror that cost WAY more money. I absolutely love how it turned out. Little did I know it would become a key element of my French country Christmas living room decor!

Here you get a double reflection at the same time - I caught the lit 7' King Noble Fir Christmas tree in the Trumeau mirror, as well as in the gold Arhaus dupe floor mirror.

I can't get over how beautiful the lights look in the mirror!

But with or without a mirror, this tree will be the highlight of your Christmas decorating. How could it not  -- with such a realistic presence and those warm, glowing lights?

I purposefully kept the rest of the living room Christmas decor simple to let the tree be the star of the show.

The thrifted vintage French bergere chair and thrifted French horn hanging over the mantel help to round out the French country Christmas look. I even used vintage brass (trumpet) horn candlesticks on the mantel as well to add even more of that vintage Christmas vibe.

While there's certainly more I could share about my French country Christmas decor as a whole, I'll be sharing those details soon in a separate post, so stay tuned!
