Easter is a time for renewal -- and what better way to celebrate than by serving up a beautiful Easter brunch tablescape for friends and family?
And while it's only going to be me and Mr. OHH this Easter, that doesn't mean we shouldn't have a special Easter morning together. I'm gearing up for that with a fresh and spring-forward Easter brunch tablescape.

This year I was thrilled to come across some Target cabbage stoneware on social media for unbelievably reasonable prices, so of course I had to make it my mission to find some for our Easter brunch table!
I've always wanted cabbage tableware -- but traditional pieces, even those I've found while thrifting, haven't been cheap.
Target did not disappoint. I snagged a cabbage teapot and two cabbage teacups and saucers (the last ones) at my local store.
Then I ordered 4 cabbage salad plates (only $4 each!) -- to be delivered-- because all the local Targets had sold out! (Shipping is free if you use a Target credit card.)
They also carried an egg serving platter and dessert bowl (both being held by figural bunnies) which I was not interested in.
The teapot was was only $15.
And the tea cup and saucer sets were only $7 each!
Once the salad plates arrived I got to work styling an Easter brunch tablescape.
In addition to using my new Target cabbage stoneware, I was excited to include my recent Wal-Mart purchase of two scalloped cordless rechargeable brass table lamps. I am positively in love with them!
They add so much style and ambiance to the table, whether turned on as cafe lights -- or even when turned off as seen here. Either way, they add a nice grandmillenial touch to the Easter tablescape.
The cabbage salad plates mixed well with some of my vintage blue and white porcelain small plates, including this Balmoral Castle plate.
Some Delft patterned plates (and egg cups) were also part of the mix.
Another blue willow plate adds its charm to the tablescape.
The other egg cup, a bit larger and with a blue willow pattern, also sits on a small blue willow plate. Mix and match is the order of the day! I got the vintage egg cup at a local pop-up estate sale, again for only a few dollars.
What could be more perfect than this mini blue willow chinoiserie tureen brimming with sugar cubes and its matching plate and tiny silver spoon?
The blue willow salt and pepper shaker set sits on top of a lid for a vintage chinoiserie cachepot. I thought the lid made for a nice little "tray."
I also had fun adding some of my thrifted vintage green glass and jadeite hen on nest salt cellars.
Another fun addition to the brunch table is this wicker carrot basket from Target's Bullseye Playground ($5). I filled it with some of my ivory handled vintage cutlery.
If your Target runs out you can also try this carrot shaped rattan basket.
I forgot to mention the carrot napkin rings -- from Dollar Tree! They added the perfect whimsical element to the brunch tablescape. My large white vintage linen napkins were a perfect match for them.
Four parsons chairs (thrifted years ago) still surround my dining room table. In keeping with the Easter brunch look, I draped a set of gorgeous (thrifted) designer drapes in a sumptious green and white pattern over two of the chairs for added visual interest.
Here's a shot taken at night. It really shows how well the cordless rechargeable table lamps provide ambiance to the tablescape. I was so excited to take the picture that one of the tags is still attached!
These lamps are, as already stated, cordless and rechargeable (with approximate 6 hour duration)! They also have 3 different lighting levels, all touch activated. It doesn't get any better than that.
I can't decide which I love more -- the Target cabbage stoneware (especially this teapot) or the Wal-Mart scallop rechargeable table lamps.
As a tea loving lady I have to admit that I'm looking forward to using the cabbage teapot and adorable tea cup for Easter brunch. I'll be enjoying my favorite Harney & Sons Earl Grey Supreme Tea.

so pretty, Kathleen. I love the mix of green and blue/white. I ordered the plates from Temu, since Target was sold out. Hoping they get here in good shape.
ReplyDeleteThese dishes are adorable Kathleen. I love the coffee cups. So darling.
ReplyDeleteI love those cabbage tea pot and cups with the plates too. Love that you added the blue and white. Gotta love Target. I love those sweet lamps on the table. They have a lot of those in the restaurants now instead of candle light. Love them. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris
