How To Make A Scallop Shell Jewelry Dish
March 28, 2025
Jewelry dishes are highly underrated. While I love my
diy chinoiserie trinket tray, I also love smaller versions that can hold things like earrings, rings or
special statement pieces.
While cleaning out the storage room in our basement, I came across a box of seashells from vacations past and had an epiphany: why not use one of those shells to make a jewelry dish? They certainly bring back fond memories, so I really wanted to find a way to use at least one of them in my every day decor.

Acrylic Tray Refresh with Contact Paper and Delft Tea Set
March 22, 2025
Trays are the true workhorses of home decor. They're both useful and
decorative, helping us to corral everyday items while at the same time
making their own mark as style icons. But we don't always have to love a
particular style of tray to appreciate its utility.
That being said, if I don't care for the look of a tray, I've been known to transform it into something more in line with my style. And what better tray to transform than a large round acrylic tray covered in pastel Easter eggs, ducks and bunnies?

The Secret to Finding Upscale Home Decor For Less
March 1, 2025
This blog is all about thrifty home decor.
Sometimes I'll DIY a project to recreate a more expensive look. Many times my best home decor finds are thrifted. Sometimes, though, it's all about falling in love with something that's too expensive for my taste, and then patiently waiting until I find the same thing (or its doppelganger) for less. I like to call it savvy shopping.
Today I'm starting a savvy shopping blog series to inform you of my tips, tricks and inside methods for how to find (or make) upscale home decor for less.
So welcome to the first installment of my savvy shopping series!
